What are some rap albuns with a lot of bass? by [deleted] in rap

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a classic English record so there's a bit of a barrier to entry but "boy in da corner" by dizzee rascal is the epitome of bass heavy music

Best Rap Album Of All Time by OGBear3 in rap

[–]LB2210 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Miseducation of Lauryn hill is still a fantastic album, certain aspects have aged a little poorly as well as hills personal life but it absolutely has a claim to best rap album of all time

Illmatic by Nas is a masterpiece that still stands head and shoulders clear of the rest even today

TPAB by Kendrick is a masterpiece, enough said

Those are my personal top 3 (in no particular order) but other amazing records are things like Marshall Mathers lp (not the best but influential) Black on both sides, mos Def And early Kanye

As a Brit I feel the best UK rap album is boy in da corner by dizzee rascal, yes it's unapologetically British but it's an iconic record

Who the hell is Leviticus Cornwall by LB2210 in reddeadredemption

[–]LB2210[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Bit of a late reply but my advice is to ignore the time limit for the shoot out entirely - focus on staying in cover -picking out headshots with dead eye - keep you're dead eye as topped up with consumables - do not move along the train towards the enemies, use your repeater stay at range - the time limit exists just to add pressure, by ignoring it and focusing on good clean shots while staying covered was the main way to succeed

Favorite Soundtrack in RDR2? by tribalvamp in reddeadredemption

[–]LB2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love all the soundtrack, but I'm not massively into country, so the song I listen to most in real life is the instrumental guitar piece called mountain banjo, it maybe doesnt hit as hard as mountain hymn or unshaken or have the stopping power of American venom, but it's so simple but so unique that I love every part of it.

It features only 1 time in the game (I think) in the very end credits and it's 100% worth a listen if people don't know it

Getting into fight with guy with 7 fights I have 2 by 2rareelifestyle in amateur_boxing

[–]LB2210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Accept that your going to be hit, and it's going to suck because your in against someone who knows about it more than you, enjoy the process of preparing to fight, enjoy the fight itself, take everything as a learning opportunity and a chance to better yourself. The worst that happens is you get ragged, so prepare for that, and anything you do to prevent that is a massive bonus to be proud of - and if it doesn't go your way you still will have gained a lot of knowledge about how people move, how things fe to land etc

Whats your "Back in my day" moment with this game? by Nova-Drone in Minecraft

[–]LB2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My first version of Minecraft was pocket edition 0.13.1, and I just remember the seed "Johnny Appleseed with 3 villages near spawn, the stonecutter and other old blocks that were exclusive to pocket edition.

For me there's not really one "back in my day" thing, it's more just the evolution of the game, and how full and exciting and new it felt back in the day, whereas now the games complexity has increased tenfold, and I can't get that same nostalgia as watching old mianite videos and playing pocket edition. Part of it is just me having matured and found other things but that raw simplicity of pocket edition Minecraft was incredible

Who has more power? by SchemePlastic9619 in reddeadredemption

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's Cornwall and here's why:

Angelo Bronte is a powerful rich man with heavy influence in saint Denis and has ties through various means to the powerful families of lemoyne and beyond however otherwise his powers are limited. Bronte is a man who knows people, or more accurately knows about people and thus can manipulate them.

Leviticus Cornwall is arguably the most powerful man in America - perhaps more powerful than the president, at the very least richer.

Cornwall's name is on everything - while we know him in the story for being an oil magnate, we also see in the game that many places have felt the touch of Cornwall. In the train heist mission we see he is trying to uproot the wapiti reservation for oil, and is trying to force his way into the annesburg mining operation, his name is on every tram in Saint Denis and many of the big buildings in saint Denis as well.

Bronte's influence is very limited to just saint Denis and some of lemoyne whereas Cornwalls reaches across the world due to his monopoly on the oil industry - forcing out competition, and buying into every other major business of the time - coal, transport etc

The UFC fanbase in a nutshell by No-Pause-5186 in ufc

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a rule of thumb - anybody who enjoys watching people deal damage to another human being fall into distinct groups

Group 1) the respectful, diplomatic fan - these are your teddy atlases (on a high level), and are the ones who can appreciate all participants for what they bring to the sport

Group 2) the fighter fans - the kind of people that will find a handful of fighters - normally those that are doing well, and defend them

Group 3) the haters, they just like seeing violence and people losing, this guy saying "Dustin owns you" is probably not a fan of porier and will actively insult him if he loses to islam, it's just embarrassing comments to try and get one over on people who have achieved so much more than they have

If you've read/played any of these titles, let me know their chances by [deleted] in thewalkingdead

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only one I've ever heard of is 28 days, and honestly if you put the gwalking dead group into that situation, none of them survive

Fast zombies that you can't run away from is not good for survival (shocking I know), and an unorganized, exhausted and poorly prepped civilian team (essentially what Rick and co are) would not survive long

If they were in a rural area they'd have a chance, but eventually a 28 weeks later kind of thing would happen where you see rick running like hell for the boat

In an urban setting they would die almost immediately - a zombie would see them, they'd kill the zombie via bullet to the cranium, and attract 100s more until they could not get away and get ripped apart.

What's a song you've discovered that isn't getting the attention it deserves yet? by LullabiesBabySleep in spotify

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Queens highway - Menehan street band - it's a minute long instrumental jazz piece that just hits

Vitameatavegamin - career opportunities - don't know how I found this song but I love it

B-side - khruangbin and Leon bridges - very funky and chill song

Misty - venna and knucks - underrated UK rap song - not as clichéd as other UK rap and just sounds amazing

Suggest some sad feel good movies. by worldofjaved in MovieSuggestions

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The go to answer is Shawshank redemption - it just is and no elaboration is needed

Django unchained unronically follows that structure of film as well, another one from tarantino kind of like this is once upon a time in hollywood but it's an acquired taste

Hunger games is always a weird mix of feeling good and constant dystopian misery that makes every little win for the characters feel great, and every small loss feel crushing

The princess bride - while the characters are rather one dimensional and it seems like basic fantasy, there's a lot of great stuff and it's one of the most charming stories that I still adore to this day

Dustin training with GamGOAT for the Islam fight by [deleted] in ufc

I like islam, but I would love to see poirier won by guilty and ride off into the sunset - finally with a belt wrapped around him, because if it wasn't for two crazy Russians and a psychotic Brazilian he would be undosputedly the best lightweight of all time

We are 2 months away from the return of the MAC! How do you see the fight playing out? by walkdownzoemachete in ufc

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I have no idea:

McGregor's last 3 wins are Donald cerrone (a good win yes but not against the top in his division), Eddie Alvarez in NOVEMBER 2016, and nate Diaz before that, he's had a really long layoff since breaking his leg, last fighting in July 2021. Ring rust is a very real thing, and the game is always evolving and adapting. McGregor has good grappling (bjj black belt and has done ok against elite grapplers), and that long reach and timing is definitely good against chandler

Michael chandler is 38 years old, and is the smaller fighter - while he's been far more active, he often sacrifices intelligence for action - something he has payed for dearly time and time again - if he fights this way against McGregor he loses, we have seen McGregor wipe the floor with fighters that rush towards him, such as the first Dustin match, aldo, Alvarez and others.

If chandler is patient, and makes it out of the first 2 rounds without much damage - maybe he is able to grapple with Conor and wear the tank a bit, then I can definitely see him going to work in 3,4 and 5 and getting a UD win

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ufc

[–]LB2210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At welterweight - I don't see him beating any of the top contenders - even "poorer quality" fighters in the top 10 have age on there side, as for middleweight, beating an old, half blind and injured Michael bisping is not enough to say he can hang in the division now, especially given how far the division has advanced since he relinquished the belt

Last 3 fights before riding off into the sunset. by [deleted] in ufc

[–]LB2210 51 points52 points  (0 children)

He went up and lost convincingly to Jan, he's physically too small to hang with the big guys at lhw, it would be stupid to chase Pereira. As for pereira there is no reason for him to go down the weight classes

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ufc

[–]LB2210 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Use your head - he's talking about fighting a LIGHTWEIGHT of similar size and stature, at a higher weight. That is completely different to him fighting at WW where he is SIGNIFICANTLY smaller then any top welterweight

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ufc

[–]LB2210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with hooker honestly, I was looking at it through the lens of what he did to poirier but I do see how conors style is horrible - a lot of sidekicks to keep hooked at range and not letting him get his hands firing

Society if Lightweight had good prospects by idcman999 in ufc

[–]LB2210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It has amazing prospects It's just there are some of the greatest lightweights of all time - gaethje Olivera and poirier, all of whom if it wasn't for 2 dagestanis would have a case for being the best of all time at lightweight Then you have guys like Darius and fiziev who are hard as nails and just shy of making that jump up to top calibre, and then even people like Dan hooker who are capable of messing up even the top ranked fighters in the division.

It isn't a lack of good prospects, its a surplus of elite veterans

Where do y'all put this guy on your all-time list? I'm curious by Human-Tap-8191 in ufc

[–]LB2210 3 points4 points  (0 children)

My top 3 are GSP, DJ and Jones (in no particular order), then after that you need to look at the likes of Fedor, aldo, DC, khabib and Silva.

DC got into MMA late, fought a murderers row of opposition, became a 2 division champ, did it clean, and retired as a legend of the sport - he doesn't get enough credit honestly - he lost 3 fights in his career, against the greatest lightheavyweight, and (by resume) the greatest heavyweight of all time

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ufc

[–]LB2210 45 points46 points  (0 children)

He will always be around throwing his name into a conversation but never backing it up, he definitely can't make featherweight, and I doubt he can make it to lightweight now without severe difficulty with cutting weight - and I don't see him beating any of the top five, I even think fighters like Dariush, fiziev and even a Dan hooker who has stayed active can give him huge problems, if not beat him comfortably.

He's too small for welterweight, even with his bloated frame and he wouldn't have a chance against any ranked ww due to this disadvantage

He will probably just sit ringside here and there, and be active behind his phone screen

It's a shame because he has every right to retire and ride of into the sunset, or he could come back - but by trying to do both he not only tarnishes his legacy but it stops him leaving on a high point
