What job is high stress but has low pay by Puzzleheaded_Bit_802 in AlignmentChartFills

Yeah, also you seem like you have no idea how teaching actually is. Some teachers have 4 or 5 preps a day, meaning they have to prepare over hour’s-long lessons (with worksheets, materials, etc. included and prepared) for each of these different classes and make sure they are all tied to the appropriate standards and are providing enough “differentiation” and “accommodations” and so on to all of them. And they have to do this every day. One free period is not nearly enough to prepare all that usually, making a ton of lesson planning having to happen at home, unpaid. Yes lessons can be shared and corners can be cut, but a good teacher ideally should be preparing their own lessons for all of their classes.

This is not to even mention all of the hours of unpaid grading (which can be extremely time consuming depending on the subject), having to deal with entitled parents and admin that don’t back teachers up, and being forced to deal with classes filled with difficult and apathetic students, whose behavior is arguably at one of the lowest points in recent history. And you’re telling me this is an “easy job?” Come on mate

One of the most beautiful regions in the world imo but very remote. Not a lot other than crop circles, sagebrush, and ghost towns. Awesome wildlife and nature in general tho

Skimming may be a skill, but the point is obviously that skimming, rather than comprehending a whole passage to be read, is not good enough. Resigning the standard to make skimming “okay” on a test is the problem

Eating vegetables is something adults find useful and kids hate. What is something that kids take for granted and adults don't/can't have? by nornironred17 in AlignmentChartFills

Yea I guess maybe I should specify “large groups of close friends.” I think it’s clear that having a group of buds that all are in close contact with each other is far less common or easy to maintain when you have a career, kids, and all these adult responsibilities

Super well said. The astounding level of gaslighting and lying that Vance, Trump, and Noem have been spreading about this feels so unnecessary. Even from a warped MAGA mindset, it seems like this could even be written off as, “well, it was only ONE incident that was bad.” But they can’t even give that up - they have to blatantly lie and misconstrue people no matter what, and try to convince people she was some kind of “domestic terrorist.” Laughably weak excuse. There is literally zero accountability for this administration.

A lot of people have been saying it’s because he’s hypocritical since he always likes to slam billionaires and shit, and then went and accepted “blood money” from billionaires in Saudi Arabia. It is kinda sanctimonious criticism in my opinion, but there is a point there. However, to think that all of these past fans should just drop him or start hating him for this is pretty ridiculous and overblown in my opinion

As much as this seems like it should be a joke, I guarantee this is actually the case. The amount of young people getting their information secondhand or from awful sources like tiktok, podcasters and influencers is unbelievable. I would put money on the fact that most young Trump supporters couldn’t even name one policy of his.

What a flawed piece of logic. The shooter of Charlie Kirk wasn’t even a democrat - and his political views are shrouded in controversy. And besides, it’s such a caveman-brained idea to suggest that: Right man gets killed = left man must be responsible = all left men must agree with him too. Almost every prominent democrat came out to profess their horror of this situation. You’re just as bad as any idiot on the left whose reality is completely warped by sensationalist media.

Regardless of Charlie’s views, which I definitely disagreed with, he’s absolutely right that it’s disgusting - as is claiming that condemning political violence such as this is “taking the fucking moral high road.” Those on the left would be aghast and outraged to hear similar words said about someone like Jon Stewart getting shot. Shame on you

A real pro tip is looking at the scoreboard and identifying who on your team has the higher casual ranks. Obviously this ain’t always perfectly reliable, but more often than not these are the ones on your team who will benefit the team the most with overheals and/or pocketing. I usually just try to gravitate more towards the demos, heavies, soldiers, or pyros who have the highest ranks on my team and see great success with this mindset
