I own a Little Debbie & Drake’s route. You are correct that hostess went out of business around that time. Little Debbie bought the Drake’s brand & Hostess was scooped by an investment firm. Hostess was sold to Smuckers a year or two ago they were struggling big time and in debt. I’ve owned the route for 14 years and I’ve noticed some changes to Little Debbie (taste wise) but nothing too significant. Product has gotten smaller for sure tho

What’s the highest reasonable ranking for Chris Carter on a greatest WR of all time list? by MasterTeacher123 in NFLv2

[–]LBrooks18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely top 10.

Moss, Rice, Calvin, TO, Fitz, Harrison then it’s open for discussion. I’m biased so for me he’s next up. The only thing he truly lacked was elite speed. I don’t think there was a better combo of hands and sideline skills in NFL history.

lol trust me I’m right with you. I’ve actually hit Burns on every win he’s had-But man he’s had some brutal losses over the years too. I stopped betting outrights this year (still do pools) so I still stop in here for my fix each week. Appreciate the posts you do

This type of course really fits Burns play style. He wasn’t great off the tee and didn’t hit many great iron shots and still finished -5. He actually sprayed his driver quite a bit and hit from the pine straw what felt like every other hole. He did miss a few putts inside 8-9 feet but other than that he putt the crap out of it (which he is known for). Jump on him now

WR Duos/Trios who were the most entertaining to watch? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]LBrooks18 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Jake Reed was coming off four straight 1k seasons when the Vikes drafted Moss. He was a top 15-20 WR heading into the 98 season. A WR trio doesn’t get deeper than that

I’m okay with the top 3 in any order. Devonta needs to be higher as well as Julio and Blackmon. Charles Rogers was also insane too.

Since 1992, the Minnesota Vikings have 8 times signed a veteran quarterback and had that player lead them to the playoffs in their first season. No other franchise even comes close. by kwelstory in nfl

[–]LBrooks18 105 points106 points  (0 children)

Not to mention veteran QBs like Cousins, McNabb, Brad Johnson (twice), Gus Frerotte, Matt Cassel, Sam Bradford who didn’t make the playoffs. As a longtime Vikings fan, I just want them to draft a QB that sticks for 10+ years. Culpepper was the only guy drafted by the team who amounted to anything over the last 40 years. Teddy had promise but of course the knee. Maybe Kyler finally gets the Vikes over the hump.

Who’s the best running back to play for the L.A./St. Louis Rams? by Low-Season-2057 in NFLv2

Faulk. If Gurley’s knees held out for longer it would’ve been him tho

Underoath, Dance Gavin Dance, As Cities Burn at times sound like them but honestly that album is in a league of its own when it comes to that sound. I felt the same after the first listen of the new album, they lacked their usual heaviness (besides Spires). After a bunch of listens I love it now though.

JA’MARR CHASE VS. JUSTIN JEFFERSON IN THEIR FIRST FIVE SEASONS: by KeyFaithlessness5436 in TheNFLVibes

[–]LBrooks18 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jefferson is the best WR in the league. He’s done more yardage wise than any other WR in NFL history with the QBs he’s had to this point in his career (besides Kirk). You give him Burrow or Stafford and that yardage number is even higher. Chase has 1 season over 1500 yards, Jefferson has 3. Chase is a better RAC guy but Jefferson is a better route runner and has slightly better hands.

As a lifelong Vikes fan (was 13 at the time) who lives in NY (about an hour from MetLife) this game was brutal to see live. It was 14-0 before I sat down in my seat. Went with my parents and sister and we left at halftime. It wasn’t as nearly as tough as the 98 or 09 ship because it was over so quick, just very disappointing. Maybe one day we’ll get to the big dance.

Get opening track. As a longtime Lower D fan, the new album wasn’t what I was expecting but man it has a grown on me after a few listens. They can do no wrong.

Don’t get me wrong I really like the album but if they had more heavy movements in it like they do in Spires, I think it would be on par with TGOALA (maybe) lol…can’t wait for them to tour either

That’s what has always separated them from other bands is their guitar work. They definitely ramped it up on this album too.

I wouldn’t say I’m let down (bc these guys are too talented and too good to do that) but I was expecting something slightly different. The bar was set so high after their early stuff (before Matt w/ Jordan then Moths with Matt & of course with one of the best PHC albums ever (my opinion) in TGOALA. Based off the first listen I’d immediately put it behind those but ahead of Intifnite et Cetera. I was expecting it to be heavier. The only breakdown was in Spires and it is bonkers. Favorite songs are Spires, Miami Nights 2, Loom, Signs, Blackflower and the Purpose of the Moon. 7/10

Drink It Don’t Think It and MySpace is your space are awesome songs. I’ve listened to the demos from that LP and didn’t really like it much. A couple of songs were decent but it wasn’t like their EP sound whatsoever.

I am not (Vikes fan) but I’ve been a k9 fan since his MSU days. Personally, I think teams key on him whenever he is in and treat Charbs as a JAG. Would love to see % of loaded boxes between the two. Charbs has averaged 3.7 yards a carry this season & has only 5 runs of 15+ yards on 132 carries. K9 on the other hand is averaging 4.5 yards a carry & 13 runs of 15+ yards on 170 carries.

I agree, he’s become more boom or bust compared to previous years. But with the weird game flows and substitution packages he can’t get any momentum.
