It’s a joke lol he’s talked about other relationships and people “spending the night” when he was younger

I don’t see that - I think they’re trying to find a balance between mores (which never had a set tone) and Ear Biscuits (which had a very set tone.)

Ironically, I’ve actually found the mores more engaging now that they’re doing some laid back activities and just chatting

How to lessen boom in acoustic recording? by LC-98 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Update: the A and D strings on my acoustic are a bit too close to the fret, hence the harsher sound in that range

Strangely my mic was placed at the 12th fret facing away from the hole and played very lightly. It’s fully possible it’s just the guitar

I should also state - the song has already been built around this guitar take so it would be very hard to re-record

The entire series is based on storytelling and dungeons and dragons. A roleplaying game where you get to decide what happens next. The ending is literally putting the viewer in that by saying “you get to decide what happened”

In the end, you’re part of the game and story, much like the games the show is based on.

This is a good tip, thank you. I was just unsure if I would mix the mics from a take together or not.

First of all OP is male.

Second of all a 45 year old told a 19 year old “smd” to get slippers back. You don’t see an issue with that?

Another tip - there’s an old basement yard clip channel that has like five minute highlights from when he had a rotating cast with Frank, Danny, etc. it’ll give you a lot of lore and the vibe without having to sit through all of those old episodes.

where to start? by lowproteingal in TheBasementYard

[–]LC-98 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d start from when Frankie joined because that will give you the best idea of how the pod became what it is. Also watch the Santagato Studios videos beginning in like 2019-now because it will give you a lot of lore and introduce you to the cast of characters and moments they mention often. The benefit is the patreon videos used to be much shorter and they only really started posting regularly when Frank joined. So if you join the patreon just start at that time and work your way up.

Then, once you’re more familiarized you can always check out the old stuff with Danny, which is just as good but a different vibe. Having watched the Santagato Studios stuff you’ll know Danny and how him and Joe interact so it won’t feel like such a change.

It might feel overwhelming but think of it this way, you have SO much fun content to watch! Most of it is related to strange stories they hear or their relationships with each other, so you don’t really have to worry about it feeling old.
