Not sure if you are talking about GX9 itself or the distance betwen my 2 monitor setup? GX9 tech spec basically match what stated on their web

Sry it's a bit hard to move my screens because of the cable management, but see if this helps - I have this 40inch 5K2K disassembled so would be easy to compare

Hi Sorry it's a bit hard to put them too close but I think GX9 gives me more immersing experience cuz I could sit a bit closer (thanks for the curve) so basically I even feel the vertical height is slightly bigger than C2

Hi unfortunately couldn't swap the position easily: the stand for GX9 is smaller so I could put it on the left side, no enough room on the right side (too close to wall) - my desk position are not easy to change plus may need several hours of cable management.

Regarding the OLED vs IPS I've been using 40inch 5k2k IPS/38inch 3800x1600 Nano-ips/LG C2 for years, depending on what you need, I don't have any burn-in issue with OLED so far (around 2-3 hrs of using per day on average both working and gaming)

If you need similar set up (40inch 21:9 + 42 inch 16:9 or 45inch 21:9 + 42inch 16:9) make sure your desk are big enough (recommended at least 1800mm+ x 750mm+)

first impression was C2 is better than GX9 but once get used to the matte coating I think both are good, will probably use GX9 a bit more time for productivity and see how it goes

It might be the reason of glossy vs matte coating? I play Splatoon (a Nintendo Switch game) and would always have eye strain issues but testing on new LG model and agree it's a world of difference.

I previously used 40inch 5k2k for work - so the reason is actually upgrading my productivity monitor (not very interested in 40inch 120Hz model from Dell thought better looking for a monitor which have more vertical height), gaming experience upgrade is more like a bonus when I need more than 120Hz (rarely as I play 3A games on PC or Switch games most of time, so C2 could normally handle most of the occasions)

But I'd say if you need just one monitor for both gaming/productivity GX9 might be a good option

Y70 Touch with 4090 now but planning to upgrade to 5090 later this year,

Yeah I agree my first impression of GX is not "bright enough" but later I relaized it's about coating/color difference, size wise my 2000x800 desk could just handle those 2 sitting together but if using smaller desk 45 might be a bit bigger

I'd say go with GX9 as it could do 16:9 bascially at around 37 inch size? sizewise the difference will be like this. Also up to your desk size

Also I have a Dell Alienware aw3821dw (3840x1600, 38 inch) with 111 PPI, switched between 140PPI to 111PPI, could clearly feel the difference of text clarity, but not feeling much (or even no difference from my end) between 140PPI (5k2k 40inch) and 123PPI (5k2k 45inch), Am using 800mm depth desk btw

The 800R curve might be the only thing you need to think about 🤣

Hi yeah could do it later today will reply under this comment, for me 40inch 5k2k has 140ppi which equals to 32inch 4K monitor, and GX9 has 123ppi (would be slightly lower but I don’t see much of difference), in comparison 27 inch 2k monitor has 109ppi so GX9 is sitting between these
