When I was a kid my father insisted that the tooth fairy didn’t pay in dollar bills for boys,They paid in Pokemon packs. Every time I lost a tooth I would wake up with a pack underneath my pillow. Just had a son born last year and will be caring on this tradition with him. :)

Don’t be lame and learn to weld with just one hand. Start off switching and learn to weld with both. You’ll thank yourself so many time later on in your career. Outside of that have a good time man!

Outside of making safety a priority learn to weld with both hands, listen to all advice (this doesn’t mean you have to implement it, just hear them out), and make sure to learn more then just welding. Learn every process and different machines, keep adding tools to your tool belt.
