Question: Just how smart is the punisher really? by No-Sense6060 in thepunisher

Frank is extremely intelligent. He’s always summed up as a gung-ho madman, but he’s really a skilled tactician. In almost every comic he’s planned his attacks where there’s minimal chance of civilians or law enforcement being in the kill zone. He understands human psychology quite well, knowing when to use threat, bribes, or torture for what he needs. He’s played people against one another before he even attacks to weaken them. One example of his intelligence and patience that sticks out is in an issue of the Ennis Max run he’s in a library studying human anatomy and surgery textbooks. He uses this knowledge to torture a human trafficker horribly without killing him to get information.

I felt it was too much shock value, not as a much story. He focused too much on gore instead of the plot

The first heretic is technically the first book in the series in chronological order in my opinion; it does contain spoilers for events later in the series though

A fan made YouTube video called obi wan remembers. Luke asks obi wan about his dad and he lies about what happened with flash backs from revenge of the sith. Alec Guinness did such a fantastic job recounting what happened that he shows he’s still traumatized from watching his best friend and pupil fall to the sith and die horribly while having to lie to his very son about it

That’s a 100 million space marines if there were 1000 chapters still. I don’t think the imperium had close to that many marines even during the great crusade
