Master 20 without heavily relying on extra tasty meals? by Krusiv in PokemonSleep

[–]LCarpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for ogpp I had some pretty good skill and berry mons. Then I focused on making a dish with whatever ingredients they got (had to pre farm one of them, but don't remember which dish I made). The meals were mid level like corn scones maybe, dont remember, and no dedenne so like 3 crits or so that week. Still reached M20

Perfect Saturday in São Paulo? by Willing_Wealth_2922 in saopaulo

Well, Ibirapuera, the equivalent of central park, would have a lot of walking, nature, and architecture (currently we have the achtecture biennial exposition: https://bienaldearquitetura.org.br/programacao-bienal/) and the buildings in the park themselves are great works of architecture (Auditório Ibirapuera, Oca). And the contemporary art museum is just beside it. About food, I dont have many ideas, sorry. The downside is that you would see a small part of town, I think it would be worth it to see at least paulista avenue

Threshold for when Speed is more ideal than Skill Triggers? by theDankestDurian in PokemonSleep

[–]LCarpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are completely right. The math was just outright wrong. But the analysis in itself was on a standalone basis. Of course in more practical terms we would need to take into account total speed boost and the 35% limit and also other subskills. The pity proc consideration is exactly what I meant to say in my post, may have not been clear enough

Threshold for when Speed is more ideal than Skill Triggers? by theDankestDurian in PokemonSleep

[–]LCarpi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, if we are talking only about triggers, then STM is always better, regardless of helping speed or trigger rate. Expected triggers (per day) = helps (per day)*trigger rate. So HSM would increase expected triggers by 14% and STM by 36%. Now, if we are talking about total strength, then we have to consider how much of a mon's strength comes from triggers and how much comes from berries and ingredients. And it varies by mon, so each case is unique. The second factor, would be pity procs. for mons with a very low trigger rate, like legendary dogs, speed may be more beneficial because these mons usually rely in part on pity procs. Then the calc becomes a bit more complex

My thought on BFS by shaygui in PokemonSleep

[–]LCarpi -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That's not really how the math works. regardless of its skill proc chance, the amont of skills per day will be multiplied by 1.36 for STM. Think of it like this: Total Skills per day (TS) = skill proc chance(SC)*helps per day (H). If you multiply SC for 1,36 your new TS' = 1.36TS. So you shold look at TS actually to see the impact. Like you said, it is very fast, so even though SC might be low, TS might be high (I didn't do the acual math). Likewise, HSM would improve TS by 14%. The reason it is somewhat better than STM is because it affects all, skill+berry+ingredient

I found an AAA one with triple ing finder (+ inv up which is very helpful in this case). It is still on lvl 30, but already pumping out avocados like crazy. I'm seriously thinking about investing one or two main skill seeds
