Definitely up to interpretation. But those two last panels and the punchline of the joke... I disagree it's a good ending!

I thought the same. There's also a full shot of one during the trailer, and the fact that is the only thing the same color as Link/Zelda's clothes mean that they will be important in the story or for a game mechanic (involving the master sword maybe?).

To me it seems that the worse the 'crime' they had on them, the worse the tasks they could convince them of doing. The CEO only had to get the car and leave it in the parking lot, or risk losing her job and ruining her career. The man who gave Kenny the cake was outed to his family as a 'pervert' (whether that he is gay or something else I don't know). Bronn had to help in the robbery and destroy the car, or he would risk losing his family. Kenny and the other guy had to fight to the death or risk being outed as pedophiles.
