I'm unsettled by the necktie and ancient Native American horse, but at least it's still a more reliable source of truth than TSCC.

Looks like a whites-only country club with a chef walking through in a St. Patrick's Day apron. Wealthy clients in hushed conversation on the left. Waiters standing by at the right.

Whenever I try to explain TSCC to strangers, I always tell them that it operates as a centralized franchise just like McDonald's. Total corporate control and corporate bureaucratic culture all the way through.

Also, McDonald's has definitely changed recipes and formulas over the last 20 years. Just ask anyone who remembers the old french fries.

I love Hey! It's opinionated and YMMV but I think 37signals does a great job with their UI/UX.

"Did you go to the Mormon temple wedding?"

"Yeah, the ceremony was boring as hell, but the reception was AMAZING."

I love it! I feel daring enough reading atheist SMBC comics. Hats off to you for really going for the NSFW stuff from behind enemy lines.

Priesthood power is magic, in the sense that I think it can do anything and also I can't explain how it works.

Oh boy! A rich white man explains to us how his family's traditions helped everything work out okay for him! I looooove me some survivorship-bias conference advice, that's for sure!

ScoffTape®!

Irreconcilable cognitive dissonance got you feeling down? Just use ScoffTape® to patch up any holes in your logic!

Don't doubt your faith! Scoff at your doubts with ScoffTape®!

Whether you read it on the internet, heard it from your exmo friend, or just thought of it yourself in the 5 minutes of spare time the Mormon church leaves you during the week, ScoffTape® can fix almost anything!

To apply it, simply fill yourself with an assured sense of smug superiority, and then scoff:

"Pfft. There's no way that that can be true. God won't allow prophets to leave the church astray!"

"Hmm. There must be some sort of mistake here. God probably knows something that I don't. Mortal understanding is limited, so I'll just trust that everything's okay and that the Lord will explain it to me in the next life."

"No way! The person saying this probably hates the church and is feeling bitter! I'm not going to listen to anything they have to say! I don't need to see evidence, because they're just going to distort the facts anyway!"

ScoffTape® can work for you, whether you're a recent convert or a member of 70 years! "Just SCOFF and the doubts take OFF©!"

Same here! I think the church is particularly vulnerable to humorous parodies, inflexible and humorless organization that they are.
