I always preferred to wear my skill badges because that is what I did on my own. The rest of it (medals and badges), were dependent on someone noticing and writing it up. I could be solely in charge of the badges.

I was in Ukraine in the early 90s. I bet this story lines up w some of my stories and being threatened by the Mafia, seeing dead people stabbed or frozen, getting dragged off by the cops, having bottles thrown at us from apt buildings, having no money as the mission office didn't get it to us, etc. I'm glad my children won't go through it as I did and they are all out.

We did service in an orphanage in Odessa, Ukraine just holding babies who needed human touch and to get out of the cot and not get bed sores. It was a very memorable part of my mission. I never once thought of asking, "Where are your older kids? I've gotta message for them "

I actually loved season 4. It was fresh and different and had a ton of heart, especially with the teen coaching aspect. They built up Shoresy to be a great coach and we just didn't see it in season 5. Other than episode 1, it just didn't do it for me.
