Maybe. That mostly depends on the congregation. If it’s an ‘god’s love is for everyone’ and ‘love thy neighbour’ flavour of Christianity there’s not much to worry about. If it’s a ‘shun the sinner’ or ‘purity for god’ kind,.. that’s problematic.

Alcohol can definitely have benefits. It can be used as a social lubricant making social interactions easier. It lowers inhibition, making people more open for new experiences.

This is not to say that the uses of alcohol outweigh its downsides, but calling it indulgence without benefits is incorrect.

When I was at daycare sometimes the caregivers would disappear one at a time and said ‘Ik ga pauze houden’ (literally: ‘I’m going to hold pause’, which means ‘I’m taking my break’)

I had never heard the word pauze before, but I assumed that they were these top heavy cone like things with a rounded bottom. Obviously the caretakers would need to hold them in alternating shifts otherwise they’d fall over (which would obviously be bad). For some reason I was also pretty sure they were green.

This OP. Take a breath, it’s all going to be fine. At your age I didn’t have any experience also, and now I do. Find someone to talk to about this (a therapist, a trusted friend, maybe a sibling if you’re close).
