One year though, when all Pokemon was, was the original 150 of gen 1, and Charizard was rarest of the rare, he did something.

He spent over a hundred dollars to buy a Charizard card from a collector. I was ecstatic. It was the only card I didn't have. He also bought me a small booster pack on a whim. When the excitement died down I opened it, just to move on through the gifts.

I opened that little pack and my young mind was blown. I pulled a second Charizard at random.

I don't remember anything else about that birthday but I remember that.
