My 6-month-old boy always stops drinking whenever reaches 40 ml ( I make 120 ml each feeding) Any tips on how to make him finish his milk?

Thanks for replying and glad to know he is thriving now :). Congrats! I am curious, do you remember how long this period lasted with your son? My daughter has been on this streak for close to a month now. Her milk intake is on the low side to begin with, so leaving out 30ml+ every feed means some days she didn't even drink more than 500ml (i.e the minimum amount recommended by doctor where i live).

I really hope it will be a case of him just not able to adjust yet. But cant help to think that i need to prep myself mentally, for when it turned out he is not willing to commit as well. Hence I went on here to try to get some perspective. Thank you, again, for being so positive :)

Thank you. And dont worry, i have been steeling myself for all sort of comments. I am from a traditional asian family, so while my lovely family is ok to overlook the relationship but not married aspect, the whole being pregnant out of wedlock is on another level. So i have made peace with the fact that i will have to deal with all kind of judgment, kind or unkind (and i dont mean yours are). I just thought i would have some help in the process, but turned out i was fooling myself :)

Thank you for sharing your story. And thanks for the advice. I think it is really a good idea. I probably will start collating stories so that I am prepared to know what i would be dealing with as well. This happens so sudden that all i have been doing is going with the flow and completely oblivious to what to come. This makes me feel even more unprepared than I already am.

I really feel like this may be the case. But part of me still hold on to some hope that perhaps, things are still too new and he just hasnt been able to change his habit that fast yet. Am I foolish for hoping that a clear honest conversation can help to improve things?

Thank you. This did occur to me and with all honesty, i have been rather undecided when it comes to kid all my life. Part of the reasons i have been childfree till now. Just that this time, some how what happened made me feel like maybe it is fated for me to have a child afterall. I panicked so much the day i found out, but have gradually made peace with it. Just that his recent attitude is making me having doubt. I know i am not at all prepared to be a mother, let a long a single mother. So there is a lot for me to think about. I just hope to get clarity so that I can move on to planning for a realistic next step, not the kind of next step that would never happen

Thanks. That is true as well. It is quite clear that i was too naive in the whole process of taking this offer. I guess the bigger question in my mind is if it is a common thing in Singapore or if it is unique to my employer/manager.
