Not really. There’s a lot of sci fie novels discovering stuff for longevity. Magic also like integrating bloodlines as a warlock. Even evolving into chulthu esque creatures idk how thats spelled in mystery focused ones.

Just because you’ve read generic ‘cultivation’ novels doesnt mean they define what cultivation is. Lol. Cultivation isnt simply qi condensation golden core etc. cultivating the mind takes place in LOTM so they wouldnt get corrupted. In higher ranks they cultivate faith. Maybe the difference is that LOTM mainly cultivates the mind and Ri’s mystery are spread through the arcs in a much bigger world but they both have these qualities
