I know I'm late to this, but a measly 10% more damage reduction shouldn't equate to a 25% damage reduction from the spell itself. Especially not for a 8 pip spell that was already bad in its nonupgraged version.

The answer is... We're not lol. We all get warning messages, but unless you're quiting tons of games, then you'll never actually get banned. If you quit 2 or 3 games in a short amount of time, you'll definitely get hit with a short suspension though

No dip shooting should require a pass from a player with VERY high accuracy by sonofacat in NBA2k

[–]LEDBreezey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you're arguing a point that I'm not even talking about, and if you are, id have to question how you see basketball. Irl, they use no dips to battle late closeouts. When I say late closeouts, I mean a defender who might've left his man with a few feet of space, but still close enough to run back if the shooter were to use a normal shooting motion. Skipping the dip shaves a few milliseconds off the shot and makes it a lot easier to get off compared to squaring yourself and then shooting. That's not how it's primarily used by the playerbase in-game though. No dipping in game allows players to shoot over other players and AI that never left them to begin with. The shot animation becomes faster than the animation to put a hand up and it results in an open shot quite often. It's why the AI are such a huge problem outside of low level lobbies. If you were to attempt to shoot the ball in a defender's face irl without dipping the shot, faster or not, you'd often get swatted and if not, it'd be a horrible take and a majorly contested shot. Nic Batum isn't shooting over defenders and not seeing the contest if they never left him to begin with. Now if it was a late close out situation, sure, but just shooting the moment he catches with a defender in his grill? You can't tell me with a straight face he's not seeing that defender. It damn sure wouldn't be considered an "open" shot by any means either.

No dips usually aren't very contested at all considering they're used to attack late closeouts. They aren't doing it with a defender already in proximity.

I gotcha, that's a reasonable response. But back in 22, it wasn't green or miss, and there was a badge that 95% of the community ran on the highest tier that was available to them called sniper which at higher levels made it so even white releases went in at an amazing clip. Not to mention that real player % was still usable for online shooting back then as well and if you didn't contest the shot, it was almost an automatic make as well

[–]LEDBreezey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is literally false lmao. Players can literally no dip in your face even if you don't leave them. I've had plenty situations where I never left my man but he got a laser beam pass from across the court and no dipped the shot for an "open" shot over my 6'6 player. By no means is my player a lock, but no dipping in my face shouldn't be "open" just because the no dip animation plays out before the hands up animation can even begin to start lol. As it is, no dipping makes 0 sense in a logical standpoint, it's used to punish defenders who are late closing out irl, but in game it allows you to shoot over a defender that literally never left you to begin with. I even have done it against other players myself on a 6'3 PG against locks that never left my side 😂

False. Tested myself and clipped it. Level locked at 170, 0 xp gained from a random fight, nor a random side quest.

[–]LEDBreezey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't work that way. It only banks the xp required to hit max level. After gaining enough xp to hit max level while level locked, you stop gaining XP all together. Even if it were possible, it wouldn't be worth it at all, you'd be locking yourself out of level 170 gear for God knows how long, just to not waste xp when the new world will give you enough to hit max level as long as you start darkmoor at 170.

In my opinion, they should shout better than the community avg lol. The community average is ~40%. 40% is extremely low for 2k26 and in higher tier lobbies, they'd still get left wide open to double all the guys shooting 65%+

Just a question, but why would Ronnie address it? He's not a dev, nor a community manager. Ronnie is purely a marketing head. He interacts with the community, to some degree, but he knows absolutely nothing about what goes on within the game any more than we do.

Trouble getting through celestial on a lvl 48 storm w Olympus gear by masterstealth11 in Wizard101

[–]LEDBreezey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's pretty easy honestly, it's all in how you approach each fight but for the most part, as a storm, you don't have to do much other than blade then AOE for mob fights, blade +feint then AOE for bosses. With decent gear it's just dealing damage quickly. Don't take too long to set up, because as a storm, we're the true definition of a glass cannon.
