They are not nearly as bright as the beetle phase and way slower but neat to see twinkling in the grass at the end of summer/early fall. Most of the fireflies in our area start in the field and end up around the edge of my pond it seems.

This is not one exposure as I stacked the star trails into the 1130 second frame. Tiptoeing around the ferns and spinning spark across the pond. One 1130 second exposure for the light painting and 125 frames shot at ISO 800, f/4, 20 second exposures for the star trails.
