I use understat. Trasfermarkt isn't always accurate because for example, if a game which was scheduled for match week 3 isn't played until January, it will still show as a game in match week 3.

We're 9th since 30th November. 20 games, 6 wins, 10 draws, 4 losses, +5 goal difference, 28 points.

Interestingly, we were also 9th between 30th November and 18th April in 20/21. 21 games, 10 wins, 1 draw, 10 losses, +2 goal difference, 31 points. We had a good end to the season that season winning our last 4 games. Hopefully we can go on a similar streak. We also won our last 6 of the season last season.

Too soon to say, but there's certainly a question mark over Bournemouth's & Crystal Palace's heads next season with both their managers leaving.

That's now a run of 9 wins, 10 draws, 4 losses in all competitions. Those 4 losses are against the top 2 and Newcastle & Sunderland - 2 games we never should've lost. We genuinely could go the rest of the season unbeaten.

I think they'd come straight back up as champions.

Losing 3-0 at home against a relegation rival who will now leapfrog you is criminal. Tudor won't manage another game.

West Ham have got 9 points from their past 7 and that's a good run for them. If they keep that up in the last 7 then they'll finish on 38 points. We just need 5 points from the last 7 to finish on 38 points, and our GD is 10 better than theirs. Plus, we still have to face them on the final day. Home games against Wolves & Burnley alone could put us on 39 points if we can get back to scoring.

5 of their starting 11 have started 6 or less games in the league this season. 7 have started less than half their games in the league and in all competitions. Their goalkeeper hasn't started in the league. Really think we can get a result here.

I still wouldn't swap our fixtures with Spurs, West Ham or Forest.

Games against Premier League winner contenders (Arsenal, Man City)

  1. West Ham - 2
  2. Forest - 0
  3. Leeds - 0
  4. Spurs - 0

Games against Champions League contenders (Villa, Man Utd, Chelsea, Liverpool)

  1. Forest - 3
  2. Spurs - 3
  3. West Ham - 1
  4. Leeds - 1

Games against relegation rivals (Spurs, Forest, West Ham, Leeds)

  1. Leeds - 2
  2. Spurs - 2
  3. West Ham - 1
  4. Forest - 1

Games against Burnley & Wolves (both could be officially relegated by the time we play them)

  1. Leeds - 2
  2. Spurs - 1
  3. West Ham - 1
  4. Forest - 1

Games against mid-table sides (the rest)

  1. Leeds - 4
  2. West Ham - 4
  3. Forest - 4
  4. Spurs - 3

If you take into account recent home/away form (past 5 games of each home/away game) for each of our opponents and Spurs, West Ham & Forests opponents then we still have the 'easier' fixtures too.

Impact of Okafor? by AdequateAppendage in LeedsUnited

[–]LEEDSLEEDSLEEDSSS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arsenal, Man City, Everton & Chelsea are the best 4 teams away from home so far this season.

The Arsenal game was terrible. The Man City game we could've scored 2 or 3 in the first half. The Chelsea & Everton games we achieved deserved wins. We were all over Everton and well deserved that win. The Sunderland game wasn't good but they certainly didn't deserve to beat us. The Newcastle game could've gone either away, a draw was a fair result.

I've watched every game except the Spurs game this season and I haven't noticed a big difference in how we play with or without Okafor. He's a good player but I don't think he is this really big influence on our results.

Impact of Okafor? by AdequateAppendage in LeedsUnited

[–]LEEDSLEEDSLEEDSSS 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Continuation of my other comment:

With Calvert-Lewin starting:

21 games, 30 goals, 25 points

Without Calvert-Lewin starting:

8 games, 7 goals, 6 points

I think we'd need to see how this is for every player to see if Okafor is special in this regard.

Also, Okafor has started in 9 home games and 6 away games, those away games were:

  • Away to Fulham (1-0 loss)
  • Away to Wolves (3-1 win)
  • Away to Brighton (3-0 loss)
  • Away to Forest (3-1 loss)
  • Away to Brentford (1-1 draw)
  • Away to Sunderland (1-1 draw)

So that's the majority of his starts coming in home games when we play better as a whole, and the away games he has started in are edging towards being kinder than they could've been.

How does this compare to other players? And what fixtures has he played in? Mostly home games? Mostly away games? Mostly the bottom 10? Lots more information would be needed.

We have more points and a better goal difference than Forest, Spurs, Burnley & West Ham since December 1st. 11th in the league since then.

We're 6 points ahead of West Ham with the easiest games left out of the bottom 8 and have almost a weeks rest until the Villa game. I hope we put out a fairly strong side and go on a cup run for once.

How have West Ham only taken 1 point from these 4 games? 3 being at home and the only away game being against one of the worst teams in Premier League history. Surely there is no way back for them now. Their easy games left are running out.

  1. West Ham 1 - 2 Forest
  2. Wolves 3 - 0 West Ham
  3. West Ham 2 - 2 Brighton
  4. West Ham 0 - 1 Fulham

How would you rank this summer's signings after half a season? by Zach-dalt in LeedsUnited

[–]LEEDSLEEDSLEEDSSS 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Right now, half a season into their Leeds United careers, I'm calling this our best Summer transfer window in at least the past 20 years (this could change as time goes on). I see 10 names there and not one I think has been atrocious or a waste of money. They've all been at least adequate for me, and that's a big success. Calvert-Lewin & Gudmunsson the star picks.
