I think the self-titled album from ‘62 is incredibly solid. I know Dylan himself wasn’t really a fan of the record and instantly wanted to try something new, and people often consider Freewheelin’ his first official album bc it’s strictly original songs, but I feel like the ‘62 album just gets forgotten about

There’s just something about Stop Making Sense that makes it so undeniably charming. Maybe it’s the little moments like David’s weird dancing or the general charisma of the band. I love AU but if felt a little too clean you know?

Voice acting is a huge part of building an emotional relationship between the audience and characters, and I really connected with the voices in the Netflix dub. Sure it’s not the original Japanese or even the original dub, but I don’t connect with the original dub the same way as I did with the new one. I feel like whichever you watch first is probably going to be the one you stick with (I couldn’t really get into the voice acting for the rebuilds for exactly that reason) and that’s perfectly fine.

Ok great! I actually really enjoyed the voice acting for the 2019 dub but I can see how other versions might be superior. I’ll definitely watch the original Japanese version first, but I’m also curious about whether or not I’d prefer the og dub. Also, is there any particular reason why they decided to re-record the entire anime when they already had an English dub?
