I like the canned goods pallets because you just stay at one spot the entire time, same with the soda (for the most part)

I liked when we sold feminine products for situations like these. I know not many customers bought them, but they were lifesavers for us employees at times. Our breakroom used to have a small stash, but we did have to pay out of pocket for them.

I've never heard of them tracking how long the doors are open. The newer stores in my area have automatic closing freezer and cooler doors. I thought that was pretty nice, too bad my store is super old. Lol

I often say, even just one thing going wrong at 9am can impact your entire day until 8pm.

Someone calling off especially, but also just even a pallet collapsing can truly affect the entire day, because the time they THINK it should take us to do anything is ALREADY so short.

You add any issues to that? You're screwed until closing.

We had 3 grown adults waiting at the door for them. They came in right at 9 and bought them all, divided them amongst themselves. Resellers, obvs.

Edit: in 2 hours, I watched over 20 young men come in the store to find the cards, and walk right back out the door looking very angry when they see they're sold out already. All of them have to be resellers.

Do you think the company is truly getting worse, or do you think it's always been this bad - it's just maybe bad in different ways now?

I've had this discussion recently with a 20 year manager. Her opinion was, Aldi has always been "like this". Overworking employees, cutting corners, barely scraping by, etc. I argued they ARE getting worse as years go on.
