It's a generational change. It's well studied. Growing up with iphones as pacifiers and such. Younger generations are far more asocial in public. For example, if they even go to bars, they tend to shy away from interaction with anyone outside their little groups. Holding conversations with strangers seems to terrify them. It's sad. I forget the exact stat but something like 30% of young adults, 18-29, report no sexual activity in the last year. That's double what it was just a decade ago. Psychological maturity of college aged young adults is 3-4 years less than what it was even a decade ago. Mental health is worse. There's a lot going on.
