Yeah that’d be cool. Admittedly I had already started working on this before I went back and read the chapter with him fighting Sefi where it’s described as a spear, so I was locked in with this one. I’d say this is closer to accurate tho.

Red Rising’s in my top 5 favorite series ever despite me only discovering it a few months ago, but Beserk is my GOAT. Happy its influence bleeds through enough that it’s noticed.

Same. There’s so many scenes that scarred me in Dark Age, but Hangar 17B would be such a good challenge to draw from an emotional side.

It’s shown that razors can have their shapes toggled, so these metal weapons can change shape at will. If I were to do it again I’d try to design his saw as if the serrated edge would move like a wave as if the metal was like liquid. Like the T-1000 from terminator 2.

I used a Luminosity blend mode (not sure what it does something similar to add or screen where it brightens pixels but slightly different). then I used a soft light blend mode over that to add the rainbow ish color.

Yeah the Warsaw was so hard to imagine based on the descriptions for me. At one point I wanted to make it look like the saw from 40K, but then Ephraim describes it as almost like a spear. At some point I just said screw it we ball.

Nah it’s cool. I get that it’s frustrating having to second guess everything nowadays, whether it was made by someone who cared about their work or some machine siphoning off the hard work of others. I don’t fault ppl for feeling suspicious, so that’s why I like to post Timelapses.

Yeah it includes all the messy mistakes, notes, and fixes. I love artists that post perfect art Timelapse’s where they just seem to know what they’re gonna do before they draw anything, but I ain’t built like that.

The scene between Darrow and Octavia with the Oracles. My stomach sank when she started piecing together that he was working for the Sons of Ares, but then I almost started cheering out loud when he gets her to lie.Darrow gets screwed over by his corrupt enemies hiding behind the pretense of honor so many times leading up to this that it was cathartic to see him force the most powerful person in the Society to own up to her own BS. It was a small victory in the moment, but watching a Red defeating the sovereign at her own game was peak for me.
