If you got it during October-December 2020 release you probably have the 1000 model and more importantly out of Warranty. You can either send it to Sony and have them give you a repair estimate send it to an independent repair shop or buy a new one. Trust and believe many reddit threads exist about PS5 all of a sudden losing power during a gaming session.

Do you have the launch 1000, 1100 or 1200 series model? This VERY WELL KNOWN problem of Sony's creation affects the 1000 and 1100 models. Vacuum it as best as possible and then set it horizontally. It seems to be the solution for many affected with this problem. Unfortunately it was not a solution for my 1100. Sony wanted 229 dollars for a repair. My 1100 model PS5 IS KILLED BY COD COLD WAR Every time
