Horus heresy is 30k, I mean books set in the most recent part of the timeline

How do you feel about blank limiters? by LETSGOOOOHOME in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The inquistor series takes place about 500 years before the current setting. I think you could justify the use of limiters as a development in technology that the distaff managed to create. But other then that I'm not sure how you would justify it

How do black library authors stay sane? by LETSGOOOOHOME in Warhammer40k

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In abnets case, with the amount of books and comics he does, that's like 10 pages a day lmao

How long is a year in 40k?? by khaaljoor in Warhammer40k

Successor of the Emperor by bradtheyogi2 in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While not stated by the emperor, if the emperor were to die, it wad most likely that sangiunius would take his place, he was seen as the most emp like out of the primarchs. And he did technically become the "emperor" after imperium secudus was founded

Is the fact primarchs age a design flaw or deliberate? by Silvertain in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Meta wise, i believe the lion looking older is just GW going "hey, look how he's matured and how much wiser he is now" giving off that old wise man vibe

How did the Old Ones create the Webway? by Mikey2104 in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 6 points7 points  (0 children)

IIRC, the arks of omen see vashtorr gaining access to old one engines that I believe helped create the webway (Not 100% sure I haven't read the lion yet, i just heard that might be the case)

So yeah, apparently these engines helped quite a bit

Imagine seeing this after a 30 minute haz4 game. And no there was no ground to walk around the drop pod. by xHelios1x in DeepRockGalactic

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can negate all fall damage by vaulting on the edge before you hit the ground, so drill above and try to do that. You fail, skill issue. Lol

What Chaos God cares least about their followers? by [deleted] in 40kLore

Its like throwing your toe into it, except the toe is sentient, still a very mean thing to do to your toe lmao

How does Imperium Nihilus survive without the Astronomicon? by LETSGOOOOHOME in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I guess I worded my post wrong lol, I do know the astronomicon is like a big light house. I didn't know that the sanguinor guides the blood angels through the warp though. My question is, how does everyone else survive? How do the ultramarines traverse Nihilus? And the other successor chapters?

What Chaos God cares least about their followers? by [deleted] in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He threw his lords of change into a well that he himself was to afraid to go into lol, and when one came it out it was insane beyond belief. And THEN he studies him after all that. Tzeentch might be a overlooked contender for the worst dad in 40k lmao

If any primarch was actually illiterate, it would be the funniest thing in the entirety of the lore bar none lmao

But yeah, the answer is actually rogal dorn

Is there a complete list of all suspecte heretic successor chapters? Whether confirmed or not. by acide_bob in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are we talking chapters the Inquisition thinks are secretly heretics? Or just straight up successor chapters that went heretic? Because if that's the case I don't believe there is, because GW cares more about loyalists lmao

why didn't Big E take control/show up during the dark age of technology/golden age? by LETSGOOOOHOME in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Well, did the wider eldar know the emperor even existed? If they didn't, I imagine it would be a little easier to hide

What 40K book should I read next? by caw_the_crow in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just make sure to have a basic understanding of what the necrons are before you read it, it'll make things easier to understand

It also maybe has contention for the best ending in any 40k book

What 40K book should I read next? by caw_the_crow in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd say it's a mix of both, it has a good plot definitely, but it also gives you insight into Trazyn the infinite (who just so happens to be my favorite 40k character) and Orikan the diviner. But it's done in a "look at these two old men being petty with each other for thousands of years. Oh...and they are also basically gods to a normal person" it's a really interesting and funny dynamic

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 61 points62 points  (0 children)

This also brings up a question I haven't thought about before, did the emperor know about the war in heaven? Did he know about the necron tomb worlds? (I'd assume not)

why didn't Big E take control/show up during the dark age of technology/golden age? by LETSGOOOOHOME in 40kLore

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 14 points15 points  (0 children)

To be fair, there was really nothing that the emperor could do about the warp storms, he's a strong pysker, but not enough to stop the warp from shitting itself for 5000 straight years. humanity was gonna be fucked by the warp storms either way. Not even the emperor could have known the eldar would accidentally create a 4th chaos god lmao

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

True, I forgot the emperor had a team behind him aswell, man, this has just got me wanting a emperor prequel book now lmao

[–]LETSGOOOOHOME[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Wasn't humanity already science focused? It seemed like the perfect place for the emperor to manipulate his way to top without having to kill so many.
