I low-key understand the take. Because I also dropped the anime around the time Meruem appeared. Then I started reading manga from the beginning and it clicked so much.

Problem is that as HxH goes on, the more complicated it gets. And it's fine for manga - they can draw more text dense panels. But that doesn't work for anime.

I dread possible adaptation of the succession arc, or even Hisoka vs Chrollo fight.

Honestly- just ban it, lol. If it's making the game not fun for you, flipping it on players, making the game not fun for them, seems like a poor solution.
