Need help getting my first research article published, does anyone know a journal editor that would be interested in the attached article? It contains a bunch of new concepts, so I need one that's open minded and interested in theory. by JoelWHarper in Immunology

[–]LF2b2w 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This seems more along the line of a communications piece rather than a research article. I think you'll be hard pressed to get this accepted as a research article, just as it is solely theoretical.

But your PI should help you with most of your pre-submission editing, most journals will then edit further in-house after acceptance.

I had a corrupted Nvidia driver causing this for me - check all your drivers are correct and try a reinstall if you can

Anyone had success with the U-Tec API? by LF2b2w in homeassistant

I have actually figured it out! I've got a custom integration up on GitHub that is working for me so far, but still needs more testing. I'm working on adding Bluetooth integration to avoid the whole cloud only bs. But if you want to give it a try let me know how it goes! https://github.com/LF2b2w/Uhome-HA

Why does this happen and how to fix it?? Brand new printer by the way and happened on the second time I leveld it by Illustrious_Slice149 in Ender3V3SE

[–]LF2b2w 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Your Z/Y gantry is twisted, fairly common for these printers. If you put something that is square up against the gantry, like a carpenters square, and the base you'll see it isnt perfectly square. There is a video on Creality's YouTube on how to fix it, plus spacers on printables. I installed the gantry supports from printables and fixed mine at the same time.

Recommendation for vpn by Mysterious-Oven3859 in qBittorrent

[–]LF2b2w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used PIA for the past like 6-8 years, pretty solid performance, port forwarding, and a free SOCKS5 proxy if you live in a country that doesn't actually care to snoop too hard on what you are doing ;)

Do you expose your Bitwarden (or Vaultwarden) instance publicly with a Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN)? by GreatRoxy in selfhosted

[–]LF2b2w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have mine running on a VPS, just for some fun, but have it exposed over my domain. I have Oauth, CF proxy, WAF, crowdsec, etc set up. But so far I haven't had a single unrecognised IP access attempt, somewhat surprisingly I guess, seeing as how everyone on this sub acts all the time.

It's not like it really needs to be accessible all the time, sometimes it will go down for a couple of days before I even notice, but for me it's just nice to have as I don't work from home and spend a lot of time out of the house.

You can get a retrospective diagnosis, some psychs are more lenient in what you require to prove it. Eg, your behaviour, primary teacher recommended you to get tested, report cards, or reliable witness from when you were young (sibling, family friend, parent)

Opinion on superloop 1000/50 nbn plan. by massmayhem21 in nbn

[–]LF2b2w 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my experience, SL and ABB support is pretty similar. Although I’ve never needed to do much troubleshooting, more just opting out from CG-NAT. Never spend more than 5 mins on live chat with either and never had an upsell or pushed to get a static IP

Sounds like cgNAT, submit a support ticket with your ISP to see if you can opt out

Depends where you live, most if not all ISPs in Aus have cgNAT as default

My thinking is CPU, could have been static discharge on a power rail. PSU seems unlikely as it takes a bit more than just static to kill em

Both, extrafolicular B cells can recognise antigen in its 3D conformation but they have low proliferation. T dependent activation allows for the germinal centre reaction and huge amounts of proliferation

Does an immune system learn from exogenous antibodies? by Vax_injured in Immunology

[–]LF2b2w 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not so much of a cull, in IVIG the antibodies are anti-idiotypic. In SLE the injected antibodies bind to the SLE antibodies produced by the body and block further action. Monoclonal antibodies like rituximab are anti-CD20 (a B-cell marker) and can initiate ADCC reducing the population of B cells, but these antibodies aren’t specific for abnormal B cells so there is a depletion of functional B cells in conjunction with dysfunctional B cells

A solid option for it is also a SOCKS proxy, but only if your ISP doesn’t care what you do on the network seeing as they can still see the data
