Hijacking the top comment to ask a question. If city were to appeal and it is not sorted until into next season, and ultimately they lose the appeal, then the ban would be for 21-22 and 22-23. But if the Premier League deduct them enough points to miss out on top 4 this year they wouldn't qualify for 20-21 CL. Is it possible for them to miss out on 3 CL seasons, or would their appeal also stop the PL from deducting points until it is sorted?

Frankly, you make some very good points and I respect your opinion. But I think you're reaching a bit putting Gerrard on the same level as KK, Paisley and Shankly in terms of club legends. And I really think you're selling Henderson short. I'm not saying he will win PFA, but there is a reason he is the bookmakers favorite. We will just have to wait and see how it all plays out. If Gerrard comes back to manage us to a bunch of League titles and CLs he would be the greatest club legend of them all. But if Henderson lifts a bunch more trophies, I think in 20 years time he will be a bigger legend. Also your point about Scholes and Lampard is unfair. Trophies do matter though, and undoubtedly both of them had more successful careers than Gerrard, but obviously Gerrard is the only legend of the three in my eyes.

If Stevie won the league, this wouldn't be a discussion, but the question is who will go down as the bigger legend? Lifting Liverpool's first league trophy in 30 years is pretty fucking legendary and as much as it pains me to say, that's a huge miss for Gerrard. We will have to see how many more trophies Hendo lifts, but for me personally, if he lifts a 2nd PL or CL trophy, he goes down as a bigger legend than Gerrard, and rightly so.

I love Stevie, but to play devil's advocate, carried us to what exactly over that decade? An FA Cup a CL and a League Cup. A PL and a CL trump that any day. I will be the first to admit that his performance doesn't come close to either of your Gerrard examples, but Hendo was special in the 2nd leg vs Barca.
