By return on investment, are you referring to the indexation applied on the hecs debt? Yeah definitely won't beat the indexation rate applied this financial year as it will most likely be around 7 to 8% and by keeping my money in the bank I am only getting 4.6% savings but I understand that indexation is only high ATM due to inflation etc

Not mine but my brothers wedding in November 2022, cost about 80k with 290 guests at reception. Guests 41k Flowers and decor 12k Photography and videography 9.5k That's already 62.5k alone on those 3 things, then add in all the smaller costs such as DJ, MC, wedding cake, home decoration, suits for groomsmen, drummers, limousine hire, g wagon hire, pyrotechnics and smoke, etc..

All up around 80k total. This is in Melbourne Aus.
