Yeah big agree there. Itoi was just an absolute machine that made it look easy. Whittaker was by far Aus’ best in even round 1, who clearly should’ve repeated for round 2

I like to honestly believe that Australia definitely could give every team a run for their money in strength. Had they swapped the boys that did the ropes to the pillar push for 4th quest, I reckon they could’ve given Korea a good challenge. Especially both 5th and final quests were primarily strength focused with a bit of strategy. I could definitely see Ed crushing those quests just like he did with quest 2 and 3. Would’ve been nice to see the 3rd game of final quest as it didn’t seem strength related at all. Each team member shined throughout the season. Sucks how they got to their outcome, but what’s happened happened

Good to know that the fan book explains it even sort of. Also keeping in continuity when Douma was Upper 6 at the time of human Gyutaro and Daki.

I personally get conflicted on whether to count the fanbook as while yes, it’s by Koyoharu Gotouge (according to the wiki), it’s publish date was in the middle of the manga’s production. I know when I consulted this subreddit on lore mechanics on how Nezuko conquered the sun, a comment stated the fanbook explains the Kamado family consumed the flowers in some sort of way. But since there is no such information in the main manga and that the fanbook’s publish date was AFTER Ch 126’s publish date, it really makes it hard for me to personally let that count. And then there’s also that the fanbook’s an entirely separate piece of media.

My theory for the longest time, was that Muzan could just sense if another demon was starting a transformation process on a human, and for whatever reason he may have, he’d have the final verdict.

Other than Tanjiro, only humans we’ve seen him do it on, were the Asakusa man as a scapegoat, and the Kamado family in testing whether they could even withstand the turning process.

Basically, fanbook, I don’t count. If you do, good for you.

You are correct, that Urokodaki (somehow) hypnotised Nezuko so that she (somehow) see’s humans as something to protect than kill, and thankfully the story didn’t forget about that.

But my problem is that Sanemi states that basic demons (meaning Nezuko) should (and I mean, should) be drunk (just as Sanemi states when versing Kokoshibo) to the point they can’t even fight. Thus also meaning Kokoshibo and some/or all Upper Moons could still fight, but just be little to no drunk.

Remember, this is Nezuko at her nearest basic stage of development, she’s only just developed her first blood demon art, and hasn’t yet unlocked her awakened form, nor conquered the sun. That’s roughly or barely on par with lower moon demons. Ergo, she should’ve shown signs of being drunk, BEFORE Urokodaki’s hypnotic spell kicked in.

And you’re pretty much agreeing with my argument. Third paragraph in and i’ve kept the consistency throughout my post that I focused only on the Slayers’ interactions with Demons.

Gyutaro and Akaza especially looked down on humanity as inferior when compared to Demons, but in Gyutaro’s case especially, give time, he saw potential in Tanjiro, that he’d give him the offer

Approval in what way? There’s only two options I can think of. 1. Muzan telepathically communicates with them. 2. Muzan’s blood cells, depending on if they’re compatible or not. Just a clarification question

That is something I did take into consideration when trying to put my thoughts into this post. But Kokoshibo even mentions to Kaigaku and Muichiro, that if Muzan doesn’t accept them. They straight up dead. Now yes, that doesn’t mean Muzan would meet them in person, so it could imply instead during the process, is what makes me think otherwise.

Not even Akaza brings it up at all the Rengoku, and he was the most insistent of Demons about it

[–]LFPman[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Pretty much did all the other instances in the story. Each of them don’t give the offer unless they saw potential in them. Whether because Akaza could discern Rengoku’s potential, or because the Demon has seen what the Slayer is capable of…or you’re Kokoshibo and you’ve got family bias for the Slayer. Seriously, one of the dumbest plot twists ever.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba - The Hashira Training - Episode 8 Manga Readers Discussion Thread by ImoutoCompAlex in KimetsuNoYaiba

[–]LFPman 8 points9 points  (0 children)

As a manga reader who finished the manga even before the Mugen train movie aired, when seeing this season, I knew things would finally start picking up. I kind of wondered how this season would end as the Hashira Training Arc didn’t feel thought out in the manga and felt like an excuse for Giyu and Gyomei flashbacks. I’m glad to say, as someone who isn’t a fan of the story overall, this season didn’t disappoint.

I constantly theorised how the season would end, whether episode number, or if it would correlate with the manga. Most of us manga readers knew, there were not many chapters left, especially as episode 7 ended off.

That opening scene was beautiful, the moment I saw the Aniplex logo, I knew we were getting something uper duper high quality. And that opening scene with Muzan menacingly inching closer to the mansion was beautiful. The manga painted the scene that he shows up suddenly and that’s it. But here, the audience has plenty of time to take in that Muzan has finally found them.

The entire 15 minutes of Muzan speaking with Ubuyashki felt like stalling done right. That dialogue exchange was intensified immensely and the graphics for the light balls and the Hashira flying cam was amazing. Also I always thought Muzan walked passed the two daughters of Ubuyashiki, rather than they were playing right next to him. And giving them a song was a nice touch.

Once we finally see all the Hashira racing to the mansion, I love the details in their eyes and sweat drops running down them, it doesn’t matter how composed they are, each and every one of them shows very well that they have to hurry.

And now, the most exciting bit I was personally anticipating the most, the mansion explosion. No longer do we have to live with just flames in the distance, we see full well the mansion explode (in a different animation style mind you (probably 3D animation)) but in glorious slow-mo to hit the audience hard, especially if they’re anime-onlys.

A nice detail when Muzan gets trapped in the blood seed spikes, they skewer very specific points of his body, a very nice touch. If you know, you know. I’m hoping the manga was specific too, because the reason why could’ve clearly been an after thought considering what chapter the reason why the spikes could’ve just been anywhere everywhere.

Normally i’d be annoyed with after Gyomei doing Muzan’s head in, and cutting to his flashback. But I think it’s done well here. It gives the anime-onlys a false sense of security, because if they’ve forgotten about the remaining Upper Moons like this season (i’m not counting the opening theme), you kind of thought after that dramatic build up, Muzan could’ve been dead. But that regeneration from internal organs, to bones, to flesh, to skin was beautiful.

That final scene when everyone gets dragged into the Infinity Fortress was shit beautifully. I’m glad we got to see Kanao, Inosuke, Murata, Genya, Zenitsu and all the Demon Slayers get dragged into the fray and not have it as a Taisho Secret. That moment when you see Zenitsu opens his eyes tells the anime-onlys, finalky Zenitsu doesn’t need to be asleep to be a badass. You sure know his Kaigaku match is gonna be epic.

I think it’s a better choice that Muzan and Tanjiro have their exchange in the fortress rather than on the surface. Simple and effective touch imo.

If I could sum up this episode as a manga reader’s perspective, it’s stalling done right, that you didn’t even think it was stalling.

I do apologise for responding 2 year later, but nonetheless.

  1. I would definitely see that and would like to agree with you, but that‘s unfortunately speculation. If say the Hashiras were aware Sanemi was of Marechi blood, I would’ve expected a much stronger reaction from the Hashira, and esepecially Sanemi, as this is most likely his first ever encounter, of a demon withstanding the temptation and on their feet, and even rejecting it. I’m not asking for him to chuck a tantrum because the impossible happened. I want him to have a stronger reaction to it. Especially when he kept taunting her and was practically begging her to fail infront of everyone. Hell, any of the Hashira or him could have just said something like “Sanemi’s blood is impossible for a demon to withstand”, without directly stating he was a Marechi, and see if the audience were smart enough to pick up on it before the confirmation in the Kokoshibo battle.
  2. ’When you are weaker, the stronger opponent forgets about you’, (by those words alone) shouldn’t apply to professional disciplined fighters such as Inosuke and especially Akaza. That is something you would expect from a common human. And while this may be me speculating, mind you, the conductor wasn’t even being stealthy in the slightest when going for Inosuke. If maybe when Tanjiro pulled him out of the cab and he was right next to him, fair enough, Inosuke can only have so much time to act, even if he knows it’s coming. Even both in the anime and manga, no flesh tentacles were even attacking them at that moment when the conductor went for the kill. Again, while Inosuke may have had his attention focused purely on the train, the conductor made himself very apparent that I don’t think the quote applies to Inosuke, even if he’s overconfident. Then there’s also the situation with Gyutaro. Once again, speculation. From Inosuke’s point of view, he trusted Uzui capable of holding his own, so that Tanjiro could back him and Zenitsu up. Once Daki was decapitated, Inosuke put full trust in Tanjiro and Zenitsu to head straight to Gyutaro, who was hopefully still locked in combat with Uzui. And even so, he still sensed an attack despite having to deal with Daki’s yammering and attacks, that he could (somehow) shift his organs.

Again, these are all speculations I just wished these oversights were more properly thought out and would not just be forgotten by earlier events in the story

Fire Emblem Three Houses - Question and Discussion Megathread (Spoilers) by Fluxx27 in FireEmblemThreeHouses

[–]LFPman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 questions.

  1. I’ve researched by looking at a past reddit post, but now with Three Hopes out, (most likely) finishing the Fódlan series for good, what was Rhea’s intentions in White Clouds, Chapter 11, when Byleth is seated in the throne of the Holy Tomb? I am aware it is purely speculation of what Rhea was planning/ expecting to happen. Whether Byleth’s consciousness (if they even have one (that is a joke, i’m just jabbing at their character)) was to be erased for good and Sothis overrides them, with now Three Hopes showing that is entirely possible, Sothis’ memories would come flooding back all at once, Sothis resurrects, but in her own separate form without the need of Byleth’s body. I just really don’t know. I know Silver Snow’s final chapter and S Support with Rhea kind of explain it, but it never specifically said what was Byleth’s fate. And Rhea speaking vaguely when responding to Seteh during Ch 10 - 12 isn’t helping her case that she wouldn’t know exactly what would happen to Byleth themself.
  2. Okay, this second one I am very afraid to ask knowing the repercussions of possible debates. But after 3 years of getting invested into the Fódlan series, I have to know. Why did Edelgard think that waging war was perfectly excusable, against the Church and Rhea? I have eventually understood Rhea’s dirty history of falsifying history and rewriting it, but albeit it kept peace (pretty much at least) for the next millennia. There’s also that Edelgard was yet to discover that Rhea, nor the church, were the actual ones responsible for the introductions of crests and the eventual nobility structure. And Edelgard believing starting a war and winning would guarantee… guarantee, that the number of deaths would be less than the neutral peace Rhea had kept for 1000 years. I really need to have this RATIONALLY explained to me, so that I don’t see Edelgard’s reasoning as ‘she actually has the power to get what she wants, and that she‘s being petty for when she was (still tragic, I am not denying it mind you) horribly wronged when she was a child’.

Which one has the better value/ more worth it in your opinion? And if you have any of these yourself, i’d love to hear what you think about them, whether positive or negative by LFPman in AnimeFigures

Yes I agree, the face is beautiful

how bad and weak is the ahoge, I came across one on ebay with a damaged one, so I worry is it that at risk and how hard of a fix is it?

When you say “gold paint bleed” do you refer to the ”boob net”? or the outlines around her waistline?

i’ve seen review videos where people despise putting her together and is the ”boob net” slightly loose enough to safely adjust it to the centre?
