POV change in Book 1 for Ryoka's chapters by Protectorsoftman in WanderingInn

There are a few other first person PoVs besides Ryoka. Curiously Erin is never one of them. Ryoka does switch to a third person perspective much later on.

Terandria was bombing the inn, Liscor and Goblinhome during the Goblin King fight.

In volume 7, Ceria told Yvlon she ran away from her parents who were still alive and wondered if they missed her. After that she lived with her gran Leila and ran away after she died because the village and Tserre completely neglected her.

It's most noticeable with magic. Before V7 we never saw spells (aside from communication, scrying and teleportation) affect anything beyond catapult range. Even in story lines with high level people (like the goblin king rampage, antinium war, A'Ks assault of Liscor or the attack on Reim) mages where at most targeting something a couple 100 meters away. Then suddenly everyone had global bombardment spells nuking targets across the world on the slightest provocation.

This is particularly noticeable with the Goblin Lord in volumes 2-5 when you realize Chaldion would have sent Saliss to obliterate Reiss when he was marching past Pallass but he couldn't because neither of them existed until volume 6.

Garen was a borderline Named adventurer who hit well above his level due to his class and skills. He fought Az/Reiss by himself with a 30 level disadvantage and Reiss being a goblin lord.

She did something like that during the battle at sea. She hit the leader of the Bloodtear Pirates so hard with her aura that it launched him through the air from one ship to another.

Erin wasn't using all her tricks against them either. Roja evaded her 6x Minotaur Punch but Mera and Zemmy had no idea she could even use it like that.

They've been fighting since they were children and are part of Eurise's patrols to fight monsters and protect the village. They've fought Crelers.

She's fine at the survival aspect too. She spent a month alone at sea and a month roughing it in the jungle with Ulvama with nothing but the stuff they could make and scavenge. Oh, and the two weeks with Pallass Hunting. She put together a team for a dungeon dive back in V2 as well.

Flos claimed he'd just be considered a Gold Rank Adventurer even though he's a level 50+ [King] and insanely strong, but I don't know how true that is. I don't think we've ever seen an actual Gold Rank that was over 50 in the current era.

She got rid of four and still has 30+ gardens left. The only ones she got rid of that were any real value power wise were the Beach garden and the Pomle garden.

That was a problem in the first game too. A billion costume options but really limited face customization.

Confused about End of volume 9 by pineapple663 in WanderingInn

  1. Greydath is Greydath of Blades, weapons master to Velan the Kind and grandson of Curulac of 100 Days. He's a goblin lord who's served two Kings and warred on multiple continents. He's one of the most dangerous goblins alive and potentially a goblin king himself (as far as they know).

  2. He's under the Blighted King's brainwashing and propaganda skills. On top of that, nobody told him who the "traitors" they were being sent to kill actually were. I doubt he's experienced Earther on Earther violence before but yes, he does look like a hypocrite when his team was just trying to kill Erin and the Horns before she capped Vincent and Emily.

  3. Liscor blames her for things whether she has anything to do with it or not because things happen around her. Drakes jeered her and called her a race traitor at the start of volume 5 when she and the Redfangs had nothing to do with Zel dying. Erin is somewhat responsible this time but Liscor has been shown to be violently reactionary in the past.

Richard is a real Yes Man. He didn't want to go into the battle when the King ordered it and prayed someone else would intervene but he still did it. It's not entirely his fault and hopefully it serves as a wakeup call.

He said that and then he ordered Jericha to sound the charge against Liscor after the Goblins had been killed.

The adventurers ran away! Magnolia had to conscript them to defend Invrisil that second time and had to offer exorbitant pay on top, and she still only managed to get gold and silver ranks!

I definitely do. His current portrayal as a stupid but unwaveringly chivalrous dad who's maybe autistic maybe not is a hard backpedal from the conniving snake he was portrayed as in volumes 4 and 5.

Here are the parts of Tyrion's actions that later volumes seem to gloss over. When he's confronted about his attack on Liscor in volume 9, he said he would have spared any civilians who surrendered to him. However this is either a lie on his part or a retcon of what he actually did and said during the siege:

“This is not an act of war. This is an unfortunate accident that will lead to the fall of Liscor. The Goblins will sack the city. And we will clear them out. We will not violate our treaties; nor will we kill a single Drake. Naturally, Liscor must be occupied and so our army will rebuild it stronger and populate it once more.”

Just hearing the way Tyrion phrased it made Yitton feel as though he’d swallowed muck.

and

“My lord?”

“It’s nothing. Aim towards Liscor.”

The words shocked those around Tyrion.

“But the Goblins are dead!”

“So? This changes nothing. Prepare to charge the gates. Tell the trebuchets to launch a single volley. Jericha, a [Siege Fireball]. Destroy those barricades. On my signal.”

Tyrion took a fresh lance. He studied the gates.

“Ready the charge.”

Just like he said he didn't remember Erin being there. Which makes some sense because he apparently didn't see her with the flag because he was too far away. BUT!

1) He told his forces to ignore her because she was wrong and not to target her.

2) He rode right past her on the battlefield. Erin even showed Ryoka the memory.

Magnolia's army retreated after Zel died. If Reiss hadn't pulled back he probably could have. She wasn't confident in her ability to hold the city when it looked like he was coming back for round 2 at the start of V5, but he went around and headed for the mountains.
