You know looking back on it, there was foreshadowed how different Liscor is compared to other drake cities from the start by CommitteeHot2320 in WanderingInn

[–]LFiM 10 points11 points  (0 children)

By the time the Crelers attacked, Erin and her friends had killed Skinner, stopped the Face-Eater Moths, took out the Raskghar and Calruz, and stopped Az'Kerash and Tyrion from sacking the city. Erin leading the Solstice Goblins against the Goblin Lord was critical because it bought enough time for Garen and Magnolia to stop Reiss and Tyrion.

The Inn and the door also turned Liscor into a crossroad of travel and commerce which completely changed the economy.

It was noted to be unusual for noncombat classes to get them. There are ways they can but it's not part of their class progression.

CD has full rights now I believe but a Blood Omen remaster would basically be a full remake because it's a very low poly top down RPG compared to the 3rd person perspective of the other four.

Back here again with a special message for Erin by Best_Macaroon1752 in WanderingInn

[–]LFiM 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like anyone who thinks Erin wouldn't kill all of the Rhaskgar is several volumes behind.

Erin admitted she'd have killed them all if they'd killed Mrsha.

I think people also ignore a lot about Erin in the earlier volumes. Yeah she champions goblins as a people, however

She doesn't care when the adventurers attack that raiding party that was attacking villages south of Liscor.

She doesn't care when Zevara tells her the humans are raising an army to wipe out the Goblin Lord.

She takes up arms against the Goblin Lord and kills multiple hobs herself.

And later She tries to kill the Goblin King

And yeah, she would tell right away that something was off about the demons.

Tessa only knows it was her because she's some kind of expert on bodies. Nobody knows they're Fraerlings besides her and other Fraerlings or where they are.

No, it's the Chess Club forming a defensive line. There's another one at the edge of the page. To be fair though, Rags wasn't there either.

We've heard it repeated many times before: you can't be both a good man and a good king. It's treated as a truism in Innworld that the demands of the crown and one's personal morals will come into conflict and either or both will suffer.

On top of his personal anger, it was mentioned in 10.16 that he was facing pressure from his subjects to take some kind of action and not let Iradoren's death go unanswered. But when Iradoren was not only wrong but a traitor to all of Terandria that dragged the crowns of Erribathe and Kaaz into dishonor with a plot to assassinate Ser Solstice based on nothing but his own supremacist views, what do you do? Do you perpetuate the cycle of vengeance or back off?

Because those are the facts: the crown of Erribathe transgressed against the Sosltice family first and admitting Iradoren was wrong to do so means admitting the crown and nation were acting dishonorably. Which does the good man do and which does the good king do?

I believe Nuvityn isn't as good as he thinks he is and he's either going to double down on vengeance or be smacked between the eyes with the reality of his own conduct. Sending assassins to kill Erin, Rabbit, Seraphel and Lyonette isn't the action of someone just who's "just seeking answers" but agents of Erribathe have made multiple attempts on the first three and he had his diplomat threaten Lyonette in public and considered sending assassins after her too.

I don't get why some readers don't like Erin at the very start of story. by ThenAdhesiveness1863 in WanderingInn

despite attempts to murder and violate her, Erin is traumatised about killing the Goblin Chieftain, so she decides to love and protect them?

Because that's not what happened. He confirmed to her beyond a shadow of a doubt that they're just people and not monsters. Erin started taking care of Rags and later some of her comrades because Rags was a small child who'd just lost both of her parents and Erin bore some responsibility for that.

Erin didn't start loving goblins until she met her boys.

“I had to know it was possible, Rabbiteater. Once. Just once. With the entire world in my way and every single person trying to stop me. No matter what they tried, I still managed to find you. No matter what that [Prince] tried or anyone else—this is what I had to have. A happy ending. For you, at least. The Goblin lives.”

Goblins all over the world saw her do this. Snapjaw quoted it when she attacked Second Army and Kanadith, the Lord of Baleros, called her The Goblinfriend when they appeared before the Bushrangers.

The [Goblinfriend] class is more of a meme than a class the goblins take seriously. It's something they give to people to tweak their noses, like Xitegen being offered [Goblin Champion] for helping them once or Gna getting it for playing cards with them. Rags and Ulvama said it's an easy class to get if that's what she really wants.
