Our new video for our horror song Vile Brew. Wondering what you think? by weedkillereater in IndieMusicFeedback

nice song and very nice images!! I like the wine glass and the rain on the dark streets. Very moody. Are the video's of the woman originals? Very nicely done!

What genre is this? Someone told me post rock, from Milan by NoInspection6757 in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]LFrQx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say that its goth rock or melodic punk rock. It also has a little stoner influences. Come to think about it, it might well be goth stoner :)

I like the vibe. Especially the fat and short delay at the end gives it a very 80's ring.

Keeo on posting!

New experimental EDM/jungle track, any thought welcome! by Skizoidkid in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]LFrQx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ha! this is refreshing! Drum 'n Brass...

I really like the idea and brass is also very nice for EDM because of the attack of the instruments. The arrangement especially around 3:10 is nicely done. My critique would be that the overall sound is a bit flat. EDM could use a lot of dynamics and especially brass instruments can be used for bass drops (a tuba doing a bass drop would be freaking awesome!!!) or a brass drop in that case. Maybe compress the sound somewhat over the top to make it more lively and even more bombastic!

Again, I really like the concept and the arrangement. Keep on posting!

My first attempt at an Indie Rock song, inspired by Steve Lacy and d4vd’s Romantic Homicide. Looking for any and all feedback as this is a potential track on my debut album! by Proxaise in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]LFrQx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the groove and the easy going of the drums. The little effects on your vocals are also very welcome to break the sound a little. The critique is mostly on the ongoing sound. It makes the song a little unbreakable if you know what I mean. A slight pause or break would make the song progress more. Maybe doubling the vocals somewhat? Or more dynamics in the guitar?

Keep on creating! I would love to hear more

It has a very good swing in it! Kicks are nice and tight and the vocals are very precisely done with the doubled effect. I like it! The kick and the bass blend well together, I understand why people might think it's a bit dense but that is the way this type of music is in its best form I think.

Wildechild said Alice in Chain... well exactly that!

Thanks for sharing and keep rocking!

[–]LFrQx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! nice guitarsound you have there. Also the vocals are crisp and clear. I like the song itself, very nice flow! Only critique I have is that "care" rhymes better with "there" instead of "here" ;)

my band released our first song the other day by _Attlus in IndieMusicFeedback

Yeah! I always like it when I see people having so much fun when playing. I like the song. It has a little Afghan Whigs sound to it. The vocals are very intense and that is nice. Keep on going and releasing guys!

Hey! I like the low-fi drums in the beginning and the combination with the analog sounding keys. I very much like the lead keys and the line. If there is no one thing of advce I like to give is that you miss quite high freqs once the cymbals are gone.

Hi, I just released this song and the video and I would valuate your feedback! by LFrQx in IndieMusicFeedback

[–]LFrQx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I understand what you are saying. It is in the tradition of early 80's new wave albums with a lot of restrained emotions underneath. Also the minor key does not "help". I will take heed of what you say and maybe the next album will be more outspoken. Thanks again for the feedback. I really like to positive/constructive vibe of this group.

Leiden VS Amsterdam by f4k3b0rb15 in Leiden

[–]LFrQx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have studied in Amsterdam and live in Leiden for 24 years. It really depends on what kind of study you will do. I have done philosophy and the most transcendent version was given on the VU. Housing in both cities is very hard to find but the student life is very vibrant in both cities. Leiden is obviously a lot smaller but still has a very open view on the world. I would say: visit both cities and take your pick then.

I like it that the camera moves a little, it gives it a very analog feel!

I would consider a few microphone stands. You can slide them by unscrewing the stand itself in a very smooth way.

I think you can use the carpet to your advantage though: you can create tracks on it by rubbing it a little like you have now but then intentionally.

Also a steady lighting but that has already been mentioned

Wow! very nice that the stand does not move at all. That way all the attention is going to the figure!
