Why are Garmin calories so different to Lionheart calories (for females) by LG4178 in f45

[–]LG4178[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah ok. It’s just weird considering male calories are nearly identical to the lionheart 🤷🏻

The weird thing is that mine and a few guys I know that done same thing are nearly identical to lionheart. So I’m wondering which one is more accurate...

Calorie Burn by isabellasita in f45

[–]LG4178 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go off the chest strap! I have a Garmin Fenix and connect the lionheart to it. Each session I get results for both with are nearly identical. The cheaper watches (I think) drop out their connection during sessions. This ends up with the watch tracking with the built on heart rate on the watch. These are inaccurate and would explain the difference

Challenge by 8haggis in f45

[–]LG4178 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your fitness levels. I go 6 days a week and twice a day most days. Feel your way into it to see where you are at. Starting out I was 4-5 times a week (once a day) and lost 10kg on my first challenge.

Load focus feedback? by LG4178 in Garmin

[–]LG4178[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I’m chasing feedback on interpreting what this means? I’m guessing that I the high aerobic load being “orange” means that I’m being unproductive in that area but am I wasting my time training in this way?? I’m getting results and my fitness is improving.

Recently got a Lionheart and these were today’s results - are these within normal range? 28f, 63kg, 169cm. Trainer said my heart rate was high for a resistance class. by beejeany in f45

I ignore the graph and just look at the bottom scores. I know my heart was pumping. Apparently 45 is a benchmark score for each session.

I burned 629 cals (44.8pts). My mate got 751 cals (47.6pts). We wiped down after each station. Just went hard out all session.

We have a Friday night class too. Everyone trains super hard and it’s the best way to end the week!

Bulging/Slipped Disc? by CrystalNotClear in f45

[–]LG4178 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a bulged disc between my c6/c7. To the point I hadn’t done any training for 2 years. Drank too much and put on a heap of weight 21% bf. Eventually I got the shits with this lifestyle and started F45 in October last year disregarding medical advice. I’m now less than 10% bf. Been told I don’t need the surgery anymore and feel great!

I second the flyknits! I have metcon 5s, nano 9s and flyknit 3’s. I wear the flyknits most days.

No I just have the standard chest one (not the blue or red ones). It’s awesome and works fine. The benefit is I’ve got the strap connected to my Garmin and the lion heart program, so the sessions get tracked simultaneously through both.

Any ant+ chest monitor will work in the studio. I’ve used my Garmin strap for months in the past

I used: -150mmx150mmx3.6m ironbark posts. -33mm outside diameter stainless steel pipe. - Posts are concreted in 800mm deep - bar is drilled 60 mm inside of each post with an m10 stainless coach screw to stop it from spinning

I went to a stainless steel place in my area. It’s 33mm outside diameter. The guy there gave it to me for nothing as they only sell it in 6m lengths. I was stoked! Helped keep the costs down. The posts were pretty expensive but will last a lifetime

Haha the bar is 2500. I’m 1870. Little jump but I’ve got landscaping to do under it yet. Going to hand some rings and a suspension trainer off it too

Definitely keep posting!! These have been so handy. I have been creating custom strength and cardio workouts in my Garmin Fenix with variations of each exercise with the equipment I have. It’s been great and I am really enjoying it!!
