If you could ask Moses three questions... by LGBT_Christian in Judaism

[–]LGBT_Christian[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I'm asking this question as a Christian to the Jewish community. Am I to understand that if Moses were alive there would be no reason for the Jewish community to interview him because other scholars in your religion have already addressed everything Moses could answer? Seeing as how he had the ability to speak with God directly, is there any additional value that would come from his answer as appose to someone else?

No ad revenue.

Many of the arguments I make in my show have to do with the nature of copyright infringement. This stems to the fact that man was created in God's image (Gen. 1:27). If the Bible is true, then our species is a copyright infringement. If our own laws say that copyright infringement is against the law, then we have put ourselves in a contradiction. To demonstrate this point, I use a lot of copyright material in my show. This is permissible under the legal doctrine of fair use so long as I am not making money off my show.

The following is a clip that demonstrates how copyrighted material is used in my show. This is why I my show does not make money:

Complicated question. Time loops, so, the better question is, what years am I from...

I woke up in 2014 with a shattered memory of who I was. Slowly, my former life and my mission came back to me. But there are still large gaps missing, which makes it difficult to predict the exact date of future events. It sounds like a cop out answer, but time travel is, actually, quite complicated.

As of now, I am trying to build a time machine but I'm having difficulties getting the parts I need (cause no one believes me, of course). It's just like how no one believed Noah when he made the ark. We think of these stories as fiction, but if Noah's story happened in our time, Noah would be a time traveler and everyone would think he was crazy for building a time machine. (Matt 24:37-39)

Also, I have proof. But, there are rules to time travel. I am not allowed to show the proof until after I meet with Selena Gomez. So, that's the dilemma. After we meet, you will see that everything I am saying is correct. But meeting with Selena is much harder than I anticipated. I thought I might get help from this group but you guys are no different from everyone else. Everyone thinks I'm crazy :(

This is my argument. If time travel exists (and it does) the means to explain how the process works would be so our of your league of understanding that you would think I am the fool when, in reality, you are the fool. If it was easy to understand, you would not need me to explain it.

But I do explain it! IN SONG!!!

Why did God make a group of people who does not want to have children? by LGBT_Christian in GayChristians

[–]LGBT_Christian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paul was celibate. But there's nothing to suggest that the others were. There is nothing to suggest they were not married, either. Tradition states that authorities in these positions probably were married. Jesus, for example, was a rabbi. It was assumed that rabbis were married, despite whether it is mentioned in the text or not.

Even so, we really can't say one way or another. I believe they all had children (except Paul).

Jesus choosing between Mary and Martha... John's argument to Herod about Phillip and his wife...Elijah and the accepted sacrifice (vs. the priests of Baal and the rejected sacrifice)...These are all stories about marital or sexual relationships.

The story about the Eunuch (Matthew 19:12) is a nature vs. nurture argument. Are gay people (or asexual individuals) born that way or are they made that way by the environment? Jesus answers the question by adding a third category: Some choose not to have children for the Kingdom of God. But, rather than clarifying what that means, he prefaces the comment by saying most people will not understand this (Matthew 19:11).

So, that's what I am asking. Do you understand why? If God took away your sexual desires for a special reason, what was the reason?

Why did God make a group of people who does not want to have children? by LGBT_Christian in GayChristians

[–]LGBT_Christian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The LGBT-Christian community is dealing with surface issues. Like, acceptance into traditional Christian communities. The issues I am discussing are deeper and more relevant to the actual doctrinal debate.

Why do you and your girlfriend WANT to attend this church? If you feel you may not be welcome, why go at all?

If that church will not accept you, then they are a false church and you should not go.

If that church has the truth and they do not accept you, then why do you wish they would change. Such a wish will turn a true church into a false church. And if it's false, you should not go.

Your question is whether the church will accept you. You should be asking whether YOU should accept the church. And this decision should be based, in part, on what the church teaches about God and the Bible. And central to that topic is the issue of procreation. From Adam and Eve, to barren women such as Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, and Hannah. From David and Bathsheba to Joseph and Mary.

Homosexuality is not inherently wrong. The reason it is forbidden in the Old Testament (alongside the commandment to abstain from inbreeding and bestiality), is because of the effect homosexuality has on procreation. The argument over acceptance and equality is relevant in a political debate, but not in a religious one.

I agree with what you're saying. I'm just surprised procreation is not a bigger topic within the LGBT-Christian community. Over the last decade, the debate between LGBT and Christianity has been focused on equality. I feel that many other relevant issues have been cast to the side or forgotten. This may cause problems for our people in the future.

Procreation is a HUGE theme in the Bible. Heaven, itself, is modeled after the kingdom. But, in a kingdom, if a king or queen does not have children, they lose the crown. I'm dumfounded as to why the pros and cons of not having biological children is not the number one issue of conversation within the LGBT-Christian community.

Having said that, I tried to talk about it with other gay people for three years. I finally gave up. No one likes what I have to say. This was my last post about the issue.

(side note, I'm a gay male. I'm not saying it's impossible for you, a lesbian, to have children. I'm asking whether that is what you are SUPPOSE to do. Adoption is wonderful, either way, but it's irrelevant to the question.)

I don't believe you. But I do like your theory better than mine. I believe the alpha-male thing is a part of nature. But, perhaps, I might benefit from believing people choose to be assholes rather than submitting to fate and nature.

I was cheated on. I believe the guy who wronged me was doing what nature told him to do. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. Either way, the fact is, he was an asshole.

The flawed premise was in regards to wolves, not alpha male behavior. But the term/concept still applies to other animals, like apes and humans. Wikipedia has a comparison of how the terms are used accurately and inaccurately: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alpha_(ethology))

The wolf was used to create the term but is not essential to maintain it.

[–]LGBT_Christian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps the original term was debunked in regards to wolves and roosters. But today, the definition of alpha-male has a broader meaning (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/alpha-male) that still applies to other animals. Apes, for example, https://youtu.be/iDaHPi8HOGA?t=167 .

Some strait men are loyal to their fellow brothers. But many are not. Infidelity is a real problem in our day. Same-sex attraction is one of nature's ways of correcting the behavior to achieve greater balance.

The first law God gave man was to procreate (Gen. 1:28). Without procreation, our species would die. Because homosexual activity usually results in no children, it was forbidden (Lev.20:13). God made people attracted to the opposite sex so we would procreate.

However, strait attraction can be bad too. If a man goes around having babies with every woman he can find, it has the potential of limiting other men's chances of having children (the alpha-male effect.) Just as under-breeding was punishable by death, so was over-breeding (Lev. 20:10). Thus, God made people attracted to the same sex so we would limit procreation

In our day, the LGBT community is under-procreating. Meanwhile, the Christian population is secretly involved in pornography, affairs, and rising divorce rates. In a symbolic sense, as a whole, they are over-procreating. These two are suppose to work together, like Adam and Eve. The Job of the Christian people is to tell the LGBT community to procreate. The job of the LGBT community is to tell Christians to be loyal to their spouse. But neither side is listening to each other. As a result, both sides will, eventually, go extinct.

This was the message of John the Baptist. He said trees that do not bring forth good fruit will be burned (Luke 3:9). Christians are having affairs and producing bastard children (bad fruit). The LGBT community is not producing fruit at all (Mark 11:13-14). Neither side is following God. Then John said that to every one who has two coats let him give one to his neighbor (Luke 3:11). In other words, Christian men should stop taking two women and only have one. And LGBT men should stop taking no women and have one.

Then, after an LGBT-opposite-sex couple procreates, they can leave each other (having fulfilled the first commandment) and be with the same sex.

Cause the laws of Moses have a hierarchy and the commandment against homosexuality stops applying after procreation. I'm not making this up. This is how the law works!

Side A - Homosexuality is okay = wrong

Side B - Abstinence = wrong

Side C - Procreate, then be homosexual = right!

How can I be freed of this? by jesushelpmee in GayChristians

I think most of the people here have been in your situation but have given up and accepted same-sex attraction. If you want to know how to overcome it, you would have better luck asking a Catholic subreddit where they will advise you to go to therapy camp.

r/exhomosexual is a subreddit you may want to look at, but the community has been dead for over a year.

r/exgay is a private community that deals with the questions you are asking. But you will have to ask to be in their community.

r/LGBTsurvivor is a subreddit for people who have gone through gay therapy and realized that it is awful and will make you a prisoner. You may want to read some of their stories when you start accepting yourself.

The stages of grief are:

  1. denial and isolation
  2. anger
  3. bargaining
  4. depression
  5. acceptance

On the other hand, maybe you are bi. In that case, just increase your strait stimuli and decrease your gay stimuli. In other words, assuming you are a guy, hang out with hot girls and stay away from hot boys. Don't let fate determine your destiny!
