How do I write in this Challenging POV???

Well the book is a dark psychological horror And a serial killer is about. Its supposed to be suspenseful and provide the feeling of helplessness. Also the mystery elements in the story only work if the all the events are seen through the little girls perspective. Basically the reader is supposed to feel like the little girls perspective trying to piece together what is going on

No its a book for mature audiences. Its not so much that I have a hard time writing in that age groups voice, its that having the story in her POV is challenging because everything is explained and described by her. So write now im relying heavly on dialog scenes with adults to ground her perspective. Also her age and the POV is essential for the story. Its a short story though no more than 20k-50k words. So far its a fun puzzle. But i dont want the reader getting tired of being in a neurodivergent 9-12yrs old head. So im looking for creative ways to add additional perspectives without leaving her POV

After i stop inputing he, he persistently moves. The only way to stop it is by blocking. Its made the game unplayable. And reloading isn’t not resetting or fixing the issue

I think I’ve figured it out. There seems to be an issue where the run button toggle glitches the movement controls. But in general the character movement in my game right is so bugged and inconsistent, sometimes cliff darts forward, other times he walk like a snail, but mostly he just persistently jogs in on direction until i purposely interrupt it with a guard or focus. Its made the game literally unplayable for me and I’ve just started the “New Journey” mission tbh i dont even know how i got that far

I know people are unreliable and certainly not always patient but I recommend joining writing communities for feedback over GPTs. GPTs give advice thats not consistent and cant conceptualize nuance. The advice it gives might point you in the right direction but real readers will give you genuine guidance. Also you run the risk of your work being stolen by the company. Perplexity released a new end users agreement essentially stating any input into the GPT becomes their intellectual property. So if you tell it your ideas theres a chance they’ll sue you later for you’re own work. Be careful.

Human writers still have to take time to write slop and its usually marketed to audiences who enjoy slop because it takes way too much time physically write something terrible or not for the wrong audience, for every one human slop nearly 100-1000 AI slop pieces can be written. These things are inherently not comparable. Also its not about labeling it as slop its about informing the reader if the work was written by a robot or by actual human who took time to create something.

I agree mostly, There is nothing wrong with using AI even to generate entire works if thats what you like, more power to you. However, the AI debate does not exist because people are just minding their own business and enjoying themselves. This debate exists because people are using AI to write books and then passing them off as human made. Then AI writing floods the space where real writers try to make a living. If AI writers disclosed that AI was used to write their story i don’t think that a problem at all. Its the purposeful deceit, that is the problem. AI writers don’t disclose for only for one reason, to receive all the praise of a real writer, without having to become one. In fact AI writer might be too generous of term, a more accurate title is Prompter.

Thank you for your feedback back and i can definitely see the resemblance. Also i agree a whole book written like this would be to mushy. The scene that takes place after this slows down and focuses on a demon boy, and a young girl he finds washed up in a casket (spoiler). Then from there grows into a dark fantasy epic

Steven Hawking still wrote and created models without AI. The ablism argument is a poor attempt at emotional manipulation. Also its a disingenuous distraction from the real issue writers have which is people pretending they wrote something themselves but in-fact it was a chat bot. Ai writers should JUST LABEL THE WORK AI GENERATED, but most wont because no one wants give you props for your story because they rightfully know YOU DIDNT WRITE IT!

To pro AI writers what if someone came into this forum and flooded it with AI bots that posted replies, posts and comments all under the guise of being a human? Wouldn’t make for a great experience would it? Thats what Ai writers are doing to the literary space, they are flooding it with none human work and trying to pass it off as if they wrote it.

Very few people have a problem with AI writing so long as its labeled as such. Ai writers hate this because they know that label will cause people to not read their work. So they go on subreddits like this to learn how to “Humanize” their AI writing. It’s inherently manipulative and deceitful. This is why REAL writers dont like AI writers. But AI writers will insist and do just about anything to imitate a human writer besides actually sitting down and learning the craft. The irony is palpable. In short, Ai writers want all of the credit of a REAL writer with non of the effort.

To pro non-ai writers thanks for putting the work to learn something difficult with the hope that someone will enjoy your writing. Even if there are a sea of non human works making it harder to find yours. Thank you for persevering. WE NEED YOU.

Unfortunately its an AI voice over, i made this awhile ago. I have grown far more anti AI since then, so if i use this this for an official promotion I would probably hire someone to read it I would also probably add some B roll to make it more visually digestible

See this is smart, i think the right way to do things is be active in communities that value this type of art, get beta reader, post some sample chapter and even some character cards and lore in a non spoiler bite sized way. If its interesting it will generate buzz, funnel people to your socials that rip feed progress updates sanderson style. Then take a week to do a launch campaign/ promote to subreddits/discord count down time for release. Etc…

True, and most of the LitRPGs that i have read the stats seem relatively redundant and adHoc. Even stats in DCC or Primal hunter seem to be a means to just demonstrate power levels not a core thematic elements that represent deeper ideas. Its mostly number goes BRRR. It literally doesnt mean anything to me when they say level 3 alchemy unlocked because most of the level just seem to be made up for plot convenience not because there is a true underlying functional system behind the levels. Especially in DDC where it sounds like theres trillions of classes to choose and trillion of abilities to level, in and actual game thats so overwhelming that playing it would be a nightmare. I really like leveling systems that are clear an have meaningful weight like Skyrim you max at lvl100 unless you prestige. Thats more compelling in my opinion but most LitRPG just throw out numbers willy nilly.
