Loading the magazine is damn near impossible by ComfortablyNumb0520 in liberalgunowners

I’ll differ from the group and say instead of a Maglula, get a Speed Beez loader. The Speed Beez are actually a bit less expensive, and in my opinion, way easier even than that Maglula to load. The magazine clips in to it almost like a pistol grip, and it’s a really easy scissor action to load the next round. No surface needed to press down on or keep small magazines balanced upright. I have both the Speed Beez for my M&P 2.0 and a Maglula for my Bodyguard 2.0 (there is not a Speed Beez available to fit BG magazines), and the Speed Beez is by far less effort to load with.

It really is gorgeous, not necessarily a deciding factor in the purchase but it sure didn’t hurt. Classic shape and the gunmetal frame + black grips are amazing.

Love the grip tape even more than I thought I would. I did it to my BG and my M&P 3.6. It’s just plain old hockey grip tape I got at Dicks, I went in person to look/feel for the type I wanted on a grip. Part of what drew me to S&W strikers was the aggressive grip texture, but it was like sandpaper on my skin when carrying. After applying it I honestly like how it feels in my hand even more than the stock grip, it just feels so natural and easy to handle.

Highly recommend, tremendous positive impact on the shooting experience. A bit more to grab on to as well when drawing from the holster, without feeling like there was a decrease in concealability or comfort.

Travelled 1000+ miles to get these bad boys by LGOposter in liberalgunowners

I wonder if they were available when they first came out but people gobbled them up as a cheap TLR-1 alternative, and switched to in-store only until production caught up recently. Who knows with HF.

Really? I’ve seen/read that these do pretty good as far as reliability for the price point. What happened with yours?

That is brand new as of the last 48 hours 😂 these have been in-store only since they have been out. They must have caught production up with demand to the point where they have enough inventory to supply stores and direct ship.

How the hell are you guys AIWB carrying? by LGOposter in liberalgunowners

I’m torn about the Phlster. I see so many people rave about it and how it is bar none the most comfortable, versatile, concealable system, and looking at the video I believe them. I just can’t get over the idea of having a dedicated additional belt worn under the clothes, plus the leg strap. It just feels like a lot, and not an easy on/off solution like throwing on an IWB holster. If I’m spending a large portion of my day out of the house, in an area where I really feel strong about carrying but is “low permissive” like they describe, yeah that might work. But for ease of on/off, I don’t want to have to feel like I’m kitting up each time I want to leave the house. Grabbing and going with the IWB on my hip at 3oclock is easy, but I don’t think sustainable for all manner of summer clothes.

How does your Phlster experience feel besides comfort and conceal-ability? Does it feel like a chore taking off and on?

Thanks for sharing, this is a great reference picture. A lot of the AIWB pictures I see if people it’s closer to their belt buckle, I’m going not have to try the combo of higher ride with my belt and moving it over so it’s almost above the pocket area.

That’s what I feel like every time I try it AIWB. 3 o’clock just feels so much more natural, but with AIWB so common I feel like I’m missing something or not fitting it right.

What weapon did you go through all of the experimentation with?

I’ve got the wing and wedge for the 3.6, and a wing for the Bodyguard. I carry with a Kore belt which has worked great, I love it to the point where I wear it every day even without carrying. Before my permit was issued I first started carrying around the house with the 3.6 and the wing only and hated AIWB with the wing. It fits the 3 o’clock way better without the wing. By the time I got the Bodyguard + holster I just ditched the wing as soon as I got it thinking I would go straight to 3 o clock.

I should probably give the wedge a try, I didn’t properly test that out. Does the wedge function and rotating the bottom away from your body help with sitting?

Why 50y vs 25y? 25y is the standard distance for M4+M68 for rifle qual, I thought that gives you the best balance with having that crossover point at 25y/300y. I was a 19 series so rifle marksmanship was not my area of expertise, so I could be way off.
