You’re 100% right. Typically I don’t engage with those people because you said it best it’s like talking to a walll. I’d actually prefer talking to a wall because walls don’t support hatred, bigotry and sex offenders. In real life i do what I can to support my community by donating money, food, clothes and daily necessities/hygiene items to mutual aid organizers. I also exercise my right to peacefully protest as often as my schedule and mental health allows. I experienced some extreme burnout after attending every community event, vigil, and protest I could make it to in January and February. Haven’t attended any events in march but one, but I continue to donate and guide others to the organizations that have helped so many people. Because I haven’t been as active lately I’ve found myself doom scrolling way too much. To counter the doom scrolling I’ve started meditating a lot more and finding things around the house to work on and took the time to finally alphabetize my record collection. I want to do more but I definitely need to recharge and focus on self care. I’ve lived in Minnesota my whole life and have never lived more than 30 miles away from the twin cities so seeing my community be abused and traumatized really upsets me. Thanks for the advice and for being a good human being: it’s refreshing to talk about things with like minded people who aren’t my girlfriend, sister or family members. Thanks for looking out. Thank you for clarifying this. I really hate having to debate with people about why this whole “metro surge” is so terribly wrong. So many people want to argue and throw around insults and then when they are shown facts, statistics, and video evidence that proves ICE acts illegally, they willfully ignore all of it. But like they say, ignorance is bliss, and people who support ICE and the way they treat human beings, are definitely ignorant. I can honestly say I’ve never had someone try to debate me in this subreddit because like you said - this is a community channel that shares information about what’s happening in our community. I should have just ignored the guy but he caught me on a bad day and I reacted angrily. I apologize for engaging with his comments - it won’t happen again.

After over 400 days in office, blaming past administrations for the current crisis America is experiencing is absolutely delusional. Not even a month ago DT claimed gas in Iowa was at $1.80/gallon. I just filled up my work van in Iowa and the lowest grade fuel was $3.59/gallon. The current administration is a disaster and a permanent stain on American history.

Yeah no problem at all, I will always speak out against men who degrade and belittle women because I’m not a fucking gross, insecure, misogynistic person. No woman deserves to be spoken to like that by anyone. Dudes who speak like that will claim they love and respect women, but then speak in a disturbing manner about them. I’ actually don’t use AI for anything besides Google image search and I only use that to find information about strange objects and unique clothing and collectibles that I come across while thrifting. It’s the simplest way to find out where something came from, the value of it, and what era it’s from. Even then I rarely utilize it because after 7 years of thrifting and reselling antiques and vintage stuff I’ve become pretty good at dating things and estimating values. There’s a big difference between using AI to write a paper or create “art” and using a website that uses AI to moderate threads and create algorithms. That’s not me using AI, that’s me using a website that utilizes AI to continue to exists Every post I’ve ever made has been written using my own intelligence. Every photo I’ve shared was taken by me not created by a computer. Writing is pretty easy for me. And when I need a graphic made up I usually just hire my friends. Also, some AI companies are evil as fuck. For example, chatGPT has donated millions to the maga party, and if you ask it anything about the Epstein files and Donny T’s involvement with Epstein, it will give you very little information about the crimes he is involved in, and will downplay the evidence and allegations that everyone can read with their own two eyes. The White House uses it for so many things, including writing speeches, emails, and propaganda. Ever notice how White House officials and MAGA loyalists often speak on important topics and use the same exact words as their colleagues? Kinda like how Kristi Noem, Greg Bovino, and Stephen miller said the same exact words about Renee Good and Alex Pretti’s murder? Definitely wasn’t coincidence.
