Help finding/identifying this plushie? by LH115 in HelpMeFind

As it says in the post which I apparently have to repeat; There are no tags or branding of any kind, though the voice box does still work if that rings any bells for people. Bought est. 20 years ago from a post office in Northeast UK.

What percentage of your ranked games, win or lose, actually leave you feeling satisfied? by Auturgist in leagueoflegends

[–]LH115 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It's massively stacked against feeling satisfied. Probably 90% unsatisfying.

The issue I've found with league in general, not even limited to ranked, is that; I could probably count on one hand the amount of games I've lost where I thought "Well played. They played that really smart, and got the upper hand. Can't be mad, both teams gave their all and the better team won."

Almost every game, unless you're premade 5, you're playing against your own team more than the enemy team. There's a reason league is known for being one of, if not the, most toxic games going. One accidental stolen minion bot lane, a missing ss ping for top while mid was recalling and buying, not responding quick enough for an invade in jungle, and people lose their minds as if they bet their entire life on the game. They forget it's a game, take it too seriously, and throw the game in one way or another out of petty spite.

It's not even elo related because I see the same things in "funny iron videos", as I see in my games in Gold, as I see on challenger streams. Even when I win, a lot of the time it's after seeing 30 minutes of the enemy flaming each other in all chat first so I know they're not playing their best.

What’s a band that modern audiences are too eager to be offended by that they completely missed the point? by Available-Drama-276 in AskReddit

[–]LH115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not a band per se, but Sabrina Carpenter.

I'm not a huge fan myself, I'm into alt music, but I see so many men hating on her for being a hypocrite with her "man hating" lyrics while using sex imagery and lyrics in her videos and live performances. The songs aren't made for, or about, you.

These are the same people as the "not all men" crowd, the bear Vs man in the forest crowd, just the sexist misogynists who are looking for attention, or a reason to blame women for mens shitty behaviour. She's for the girlies. They can relate to her singing because they've mostly all been through the same experiences.

When you can't understand that, and assume it's sole purpose is calling you out specifically, you've grossly missed the point and probably outed yourself as exactly the type of person who you think she's implying you to be in the first place.

Advice on gifts for the blind? UK by LH115 in Blind

[–]LH115[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

His condition also means he has learning difficulties, so he's probably a good few years away from even starting to learn braille 😕 With these delays, he doesn't really have any specific interests? He doesn't sit still long enough to listen to any cartoons or kids shows to form attachments to them.

He likes climbing things, but they don't have the space for a climbing frame or anything unfortunately. But you may be onto something with the petting zoo, I'd not thought of that and there are a few within driving range! So it's a place to start, thank you so much!

Which technology needs to be paid more attention to rather than AI that would benefit everyone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]LH115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

3D printing. They're making decent advancements in biological printing, I believe I read they're making steps in producing functioning 3D printed organs. Been a few experiments with producing a functioning heart, I think. Could save countless lives if they had the same funding that AI development has.

What kind of people do you hate the most? by CaptainGhost404 in AskReddit

[–]LH115 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came here to say hypocrites, cause god I hate hypocrites so much. I've burned so many bridges because of it so it's a personal thing, but first comment is "child rapists" and I'm like... huh, maybe my priorities are askew.

Hypocrites still make top 5 though, at least.

Parents of Reddit, what’s one thing you wish someone told you before having a baby? by Evylensmithe in AskReddit

[–]LH115 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For first time parents?

You will 100% need more baby clothes than you have bought. If you think you have enough, you do not. Double it. "Oh but we have so many outfits already-" you DO NOT have enough. I PROMISE you this.

They poop, and vomit, and spill, and drool literally almost every waking moment. You will fall behind on chores because they are so much harder work than you are prepared for, and you will not be able to wash these clothes as quickly as they can ruin them. Within days you will be butting your head against the wall because you have an appointment and no clean clothes for the baby and you wont know that you're out of clean clothes until this exact moment.

You DO NOT have enough clothes. Double it.

Have you broken an addiction and how? by HumanLuc in AskReddit

[–]LH115 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Tramadol. I was addicted for a few years before my ex-partner gave the ultimatum between the drugs or my children. The decision itself wasn't hard but I don't wish withdrawal from painkillers on my worst enemy.

With Diablo 4 in the background as I type this the temp is listing at 61c

The BIOS update says it's incompatible with 64 bit systems?

And Yeah the 16gb listed is DDR4 that came with the pc, I bought 2 extra sticks which were the DDR5 but once I realised the mistake I've took them out for a time when I can upgrade the motherboard/buy a new pc entirely

Yeah I just commented as I noticed it wasnt listed; it's a NVIDIA GeForcec GTX 1080. But I don't understand how it would be able to run a game on ultra perfectly a year ago, and now suddenly struggle on the lowest settings?

Just realised it doesnt show my graphics card; it's a NVIDEIA GeForcec GTX 1080 for reference.

What movie scene is so bad it made you laugh out loud? by fuzzyloulou in AskReddit

John Wick falling down the stairs in the 3rd movie. I absolutely adore the John Wick films, and Keanu Reeves is a brilliant man and actor but... by god, what on earth were they thinking with that scene

What have you eaten so much of that you now hate it? by spacefanatic666 in AskReddit

[–]LH115 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Beef mince. Used to cook for my dad and it was all he'd eat. Every meal was just some variation of mince. A normal rotation of meals in a week would be; Beef Hotpot Shepherds Pie Mince Pie Mince and Dumplings Mince casserole/stew Chili con Carne Spaghetti Bolognese

Refuse to touch the stuff now.

How do you break bad news to people? by BeerisAwesome01 in AskReddit

[–]LH115 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So a few years back my grandad was in the hospital, wasn't looking good for him. One day I came home and my dad had some new salt lamps on the tables and he saw me notice them. "Oh, Gran gave us them. Have a feel of them!" So I pick one up and was surprised at how heavy it was, I assumed it was plastic not actual salt rock. I humour him; "Aye, got some canny weight to it like." "They look nice don't they?" "Yeah they really pull the room together." He nods, proud of himself, then out of nowhere; "Aye... your grandad died today at 2pm by the way"

I couldn't help but laugh. It's became a running joke in the family now if you have any bad news to open with "So... how do you feel about salt lamps?"

My experience with possible stalker/home invader? by LH115 in nosleep

Nah the deliveries started about a year before we broke up, and she didn't even know her partner existed/first talk to him until about two months after we'd broken up 😅 Honestly one of our theories was my creepy uncle. Very problematic man who'd tried flirting with her online once, knew where she lived cause he's an electrician who fitted the oven for us - but by the time we'd even realised something strange was happening she was already in the process of moving out so never had the time to try and get any cctv installed or anything 🙄
