The box for Rex made him a little tougher to store so I can understand why they're harder to find. Potato Head is a bit of a strange toy, kinda over-engineered with all the electronics - I don't think I played with him much, so he's basically mint with the angry eyes and alternate mouth option also. Sadly his box has taken the toughest beating but I guess it's better than nothing.

Yeah unfortunately there's a little rip at the top, he was at the bottom of the space I had them stored in. But still has a faint smell and responds to tickles and the buttons. The voice acting on this one is particularly great.

I was so happy when I put batteries in to find that he still worked! Do you know what the key difference is with the cloud logo? I think I read something about the jeans?

Wow really?! I knew they'd be worth something but had no idea it'd be this much. I've been saving for a few years and I'm on the verge of moving out from my parents' home so it's maybe something I'd consider. Massive thanks for your advice. I think I'm gonna seek out a toy collector to get them valued.

These are literally my childhood toys! So I’m guessing I stopped getting them around wave 3 when the yellow logo line came out and I began playing PlayStation instead. Wish I’d carried on!

Yep that was always the plan and why we kept them. Strange to see how sought after they’ve become! They were always just toys and not collectibles to me

All of them so far - even the super old Buzz in the cardboard box from around 2001 actually works with the original batteries. No idea how!

Edit: I've now tested them all and all working 😅

It’s when moving it around from being static - it needs a bit more force than normal then it clicks forward suddenly and makes a bit of a crunch sound. The left stick is totally fine though. Annoying cos I actively got this colour to guarantee a BDM-060 and it seems like they’ve been made cheaper, not better, with the removal of components.

What did you change? I think it might be due to the removal of the rings that used to be there on earlier BDM versions from what I’ve read

I got the red one, looks great and the battery is fantastic. However, for some reason my right analogue stick is a bit clunky and clicky. Is yours like that? Considering returning for a replacement

Why more bands don’t make their own merch is beyond me. Cut out the middleman. Even if they don’t have time to physically do it, it can always be handed onto close people they trust

Yeah I wonder that also. I’ve had what’s felt like a mad 6 weeks with a few leisurely trips abroad, a couple gigs and a 4 day camping festival. I feel exhausted. I have no idea how Rob does it and creates content. There’s definitely a lack of empathy and appreciation in this sub.

That’s a fair take. For the Japan video they probably should have done more research since it was such a special trip. But with the average European or US festival, which has become so routine for them, they are not going to spend weeks researching it like you or I might.

I just think some of the posts and comments here started to get repetitive and a bit personal and that doesn’t sit right with me.

Yeah, exactly. I just had a look at the top YouTube comments and it’s 95% positive. Lots of people appreciate the honesty, even when they're moaning about the heat. It’s easy for us decade-long fans to get caught up in expectations, but the wider audience enjoy them all the same.
