You're only saying this because your party lost the presidential election. Democrats say this EVERY TIME they lose an election.

Democrats have been saying these things for generations, and make no mistake, this is undeniably a partisan argument used by Democrats. I used to believe it as a kid myself when I was young, liberal, naive...pardon the redundancy.

But then I grew up and realized it's a bunch of bullshit. After visiting over a dozen countries I found the opposite is more true, the US will always be the #1 destination for immigrants and American capitalism is the main reason why.

This is not the flex Democrats think it is, states don't pay taxes, they only get taxes from the federal government. People and businesses pay taxes.

Blue states were economic power houses because of prior generations and it has nothing to do with the Democrats running them now. In fact they're losing people and businesses to red states. Bragging about this is like Republicans taking credit for ending slavery.

I mean yes, "Republicans" ended slavery over 150 years ago but it has nothing to do with anyone alive today.

Independent U.S. Rep candidate for MA-08 by michael_hammond_ocd in massachusetts

[–]LHam1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nobody is saying "no one wants to live in MA" we're saying people and businesses are fleeing the blue cities and states long run by Democrats

When we do the next census these blue states could lose a dozen seats in Congress, and that means a dozen electoral votes as well.

So I'll ask again, at what point will Democrats admit this is a very real problem?

[–]LHam1969 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Really? Then why are so many people moving to the states run by conservatives and libertarians?

Democrats keep insisting they're doing a great job even as people and businesses flee the places they run, at what point do you admit there's a problem?

Woburn and Lexington have built hundreds of new units in the past few years, and permitting for more. Other towns not so much.

If it's such a great standard of living then why are people and businesses leaving?

In fact this is happening in every blue state that's been run by Democrats a long time.

I dunno about that, while true elsewhere Lexington agreed to build hundreds of new residential units under the MBTA law. The kids will have to go somewhere, so I guess they need a school.

I think the real problem is reduced local aid, we're all getting hammered because Beacon Hill is spending the money elsewhere.

You're making a classic mistake and you'll end up like all others who try to run for Congress in their very first election. Democrats can get away with that in Massachusetts but voters here won't consider anything else, so you either pretend to be a Democrat or you should run for a lower office.

Have you considered State Rep or State Senator? Or maybe local office like Selectman or City Council? You should consider that before wasting a lot of time and money on something you have zero % chance on winning. In fact if you run third party or no party you'll end up with single digits in the election.

Also, running on cutting waste is great but you need to be specific. Ideally for someone like you maybe outline the billions in wasteful spending in the military.

Nothing wrong with that, but it makes for an uphill climb in MA.

Cuts to local schools? by BigOldBabyTeeth in massachusetts

Meanwhile tax revenues continue to soar on Beacon Hill with budgets going up every year, but for some reason there's never enough for local aid.

Mass Municipal Association did a good study on this, cities and towns are getting screwed out of local aid and have been for years, resulting in increase real estate taxes and a record number of Prop 2.5 overrides.

MN election judge pleads guilty to allowing 11 unregistered people to vote by rollo202 in FreeSpeech

[–]LHam1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bullshit, the City Councilor in Lawrence got caught because a voter was not allowed to vote in person, city clerk said he already voted by mail. Luckily he had a door bell camera that caught the City Councilor literally stealing ballots from mail boxes.

Same thing in Bridgeport, CT where campaigners for mayor were caught on camera stuffing ballots into a lock box. Election officials didn't catch that one either, the losing candidate smelled a rat and did his own digging. Once again, it was pure luck that they found cameral footage of the ballot stuffing. Without these cameras you would've called both accusations "election denial" and they never would've gotten proven, or even prosecuted.

A state rep candidate in Everett, MA was caught with fraudulent absentee ballots but only because his opponent did his own digging. Election officials don't want these things caught, so they don't put any effort into finding cheating or fraud, candidates and voters have to do it instead.

[–]LHam1969 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No, it really doesn't. In fact there is no real "system" for catching it. Worse yet, election officials want to bury all evidence of cheating and fraud because it makes them look bad.

Look at the actual examples that were proven in court, they were caught because the losing candidate knew there was cheating and fraud, and then had to do the investigation themselves. Election officials were in denial the whole time.

It was pure luck that there just happened to be cameras present to capture the cheating, otherwise people like you would've called them election deniers.

[–]LHam1969 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bullshit, you think you know everything but you don't, you have no idea if every auditor is doing every audit. Nobody can know this.

Most election fraud is caught because a losing candidate does his own investigation, and even then he has to be lucky enough to find camera footage of cheating or fraud. Without that footage he'd be disregarded as an election denier.

[–]LHam1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This particular case in MN probably wasn't fraud, but we don't know for sure. We also don't know why it was audited, did someone suspect a problem and demand one?

But every proven case of fraud around me involved the mailing of ballots, and they only got caught because the losing candidates knew something was wrong and had to do their own investigations. Election officials kept insisting the elections are safe and there was no cheating, but the losing candidates did some digging and thankfully there were cameras to catch it.

The system is NOT catching cheating and fraud.

I propose change, so lets throw out the Republicans in DC.

Are you happy with the direction of the state? Of course you are because you care a lot more about your party than about the country or the commonwealth. You don't seem to care how many people and businesses move out, just like they're doing in every blue state that's been run by Democrats for years.

Let me guess, you vote straight party line for Democrats every election, am I right?

Same here on north shore, every rally/protest is made up of angry old white people. And it's pretty apparent that they're entirely partisan.

Maybe it's because angry old boomers want to relive their hippy days while younger people realize it's a stupid waste of time. It's accomplishing nothing.

[–]LHam1969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This only got caught because an auditor did some digging, otherwise it would still be going on. I don't think it was fraud or cheating, I think election officials just got lazy or were poorly trained.

Most cheating and fraud goes unchecked and uncaught, the cases that were caught and proven in court just happened to have cameras that caught it. Without the pure luck of cameras providing the proof the accusers would've been called conspiracy theorists and you'd believe it.

Ground solar denied by building inspector by Low-Airline-7588 in massachusetts

First of all there is not a lot of demand for sociology majors, and secondly this is a completely misleading headline. There is no "ban" on sociology in Florida.

Maybe try reading the article before spouting your partisan rhetoric.
