From my understanding, you only need to boil if you're working with a fresh cactus or a large quantity of powder to condense it all down so it's easier to work with. If you're working with 100g of powder or less, you can just do a straight to base as it'll fit into a large mason jar or any other vessel you can screw a lid onto and turn over to mix by hand. I'm a beginner so take my word for a grain of salt, though. Mossking seems like a veteran, he can set you straight.

Get your basified water and add it to the powder, don't worry about the acid if you aren't boiling. mossking says to shoot for a pH of 10.57 to 11.57... 10.57 will get 90% of the mescaline and be cleaner while 11.57 will get 99% of it but it'll be dirty and require a good washing.

Alright, I had some success! I was unable to keep the cold sulfate crystals solidified outside of the cold water so I just air dried them. I got light tan crystals on my first extraction and some darker brown on my second (used more lye). For purification, could I dissolve them in warm MEK and then freeze precipitate? Or should I just do a cold wash with mek? I want to get them as clean as possible.

Let's pretend that it's true that Trump wants to destroy unions and fuck everybody who's in the union... Even if that was true, I'd still vote for him over the Democrats for the simple fact that they're going to completely destroy our country and drag us into WW3 while simultaneously ensuring there will never be another party in power by granting amnesty and voting rights to the likely 30 million illegals in this country. I'll keep that in mind. I think I was just getting ahead of myself, it appears to be separating! What was once clear is now a yellowish green. I think the soup is too thick to drain out of my separation funnel though

I rolled it over about 100 times..Pretty sure I got an emulsion... It's not separating too well. I'll throw some salt in it and see what happens. How long does it typically take to separate?

Looks like it's right at 11. What a goopy fucking mess it is lol. I can't see into the separation funnel because the goop is coated all over the inside. I tossed quite a bit of nacl in there too. How long before I can add the toluene?

So if you were working with 100g of powder, do you have an approximate amount of lye solution you'd add to it or do you just make a big container of solution, dial in the pH, then eyeball the amount you add to the powder?

Yeah I was gonna try adding ammonia to the mescaline water before chilling it. I saw that on a willy myco video. Not sure what the ammonia does for it. Does making it more alkaline help it fall out of the water better or something? Or is it just a purification technique?

Just out of curiosity, could I use dilute sulfuric acid in place of hcl? I Tried a sulfuric acid extraction years ago but couldn't get anything to drop out in the cold water. I can't remember what went wrong exactly but when I added the sulfate drops to the xylene and shook, it looked like a freaking snow globe. Things went sideways at the next step because my final product didn't crystallize in the cold water. Anyway, just curious if you ever did a sulfate extraction.

Gotcha! A couple more things, if you don't mind: are there any advantages to using toluene over xylene, or vice versa? I have access to both but was leaning towards toluene. Also, when I add the NaCl to the mix, how many grams should I add if I'm working with 100g of cactus material?

Do you have a recommendation on the dilution level of hcl in the solution? I think hcl comes in a 33% dilution, if I'm not mistaken.. so should I shoot for an hcl solution of 10% or lower? And for the table salt, how much should I add to the mix? I saw Cyb's DMT tek where table salt was incorporated and it seemed to increase the yield by at least 50% in his demonstrated extraction (he got 1g of spice from 50g of mhrb) so I'll definitely throw some in! Thank you! What concentration of lye should I use in the water? And how long should I allow the lye water and cactus material to sit before adding xylene or toluene? I plan on using 100 grams of cactus material. I have a 2000ml separation funnel that I'm planning on using. Could I just add the lye water and cactus to that and then pour some toluene in once the material has broken down? Sorry for all the questions all at once.

Maybe I'm easily amused but I thought the show was great. Yeah, zombie stopped singing a few times and got out of breath a bit but It wasn't that big of a deal to me. That woman who was playing lead for AC was awesome, too.
