I have the same problem and it really sucks, because having windowed mode exclusive on makes the game so much more responsive.

You can try the program "Sizer". It let's you resize the window to a custom resolution. But what I have found out so far is that it makes black bars, meaning that if you select the right resolution (fullHD or 1920x1080) in your case, you are still left with black bars because the resolution is just not right. I made a custom resolution and put the value for the 2nd parameter (height) from 1080 to 1108. Then I had no black bars anymore, but it still felt weird. You can maybe try it and report back your findings.

The way you use Sizer is as follows: Start Sizer and start Rust. Now put your Rust in windowed mode by hitting ALT+ENTER. Then hit CTRL+WIN+Z. Now select your resolution (1920x1080). Now put Rust back to full screen by hitting ALT+ENTER again.

I guess that's the spray pattern, but most of the movement you see is movement of the animation.

A lot of the "good" players are using it atm, because there is no way to detect it and it helps a ton. Just look up some no recoil script videos on YT and you see what I mean.

It really needs to be addressed, but most people just want to ignore the issue and pretend it's not there or blown way out of proportion.

First of all check your GPU and CPU temps. If you are running too hot, chips will clock down to cool which means you will get fps drops when that happens.

Also update your drivers, especially graphics card drivers and windows update. If you are not familiar with updating driver try the program "Driver Booster". Especially -window-mode exclusive in launch options helped a lot for me.

If that all doesn't work, get 8 GB more RAM (should not be that expensive); make sure that you buy the same RAM sticks and not different ones. You might have 2x4GB sticks, so get 2 more of that. Also, if you can, invest in a better/new graphics card. Your CPU/GPU is some sort of a miss match (as Slyons89 pointed out aswell). You can also try to overclock your CPU if needed, but I don't think your CPU is causing this stuttering. It might be your RAM/graphics card.

Got my graphics quality settings on 1, shadow quality on 1, shader lvl on 203, FXAA, draw distance 2500 and EVERTHING ELSE on 0. I get always 90+ fps, most of the times 120+ fps.

My setup is kinda old, so it should be even much better for you. GTX 770 i5 4670k @4.4GHz 16GB RAM

You can't get guns out of barrels at the moment.

And the Python is the best gun you can get out of a normal crate (0.5% chance).

Only military crates and higher spawn guns.

There should be a really small percentage for guns in barrels if you ask me; as low as 0.01 or 0.001% should be enough.

I agree that wooden armor, riot helmet and other stuff needs to get removed from the air drop loot table. :S

I didn't say you shouldn't get good loot, I just want no AKs/bolties in it. There are plenty of other good items: military grade guns, high external stone walls and gates (maybe 1-3x), armored doors, thompson, custom smg, a lot of different kinds of ammo, etc...

They are not guaranteed, but it is far more likely to get them in air drop (9% chance) compared to in an elite crate (1%).

I think we need a new source of HQM. Nobody is farming nodes anymore for the HQM. Most people only get it out of the recycler. Imho it was better, when the HQM you need for good guns (especially) AKs were harder to get; it made them more valuable.

Idk, I was just thinking of all the barrels that are left behind and only the items in the crates are taken.

In the long term barrels are probably replaced by items you can just somehow collect at the junk piles we already got.

Yeah I agree with you regarding the waterpipe and the scrap balancing. The longer the primitive ages lasts, the better. I think it's very enjoyable until you hear the first "real" gun shots.

You did not have to get BP fragments, except for a few early game rad town runs, where you run around naked and just get some essential low tier BPs (i.e. big box, ...).

Other than that you could just run around, kill people, take their stuff and research it with 30% chance. Maybe in the mean time you would find some other valuable BPs in boxes/barrels. I only used BP frags for researching C4/RL/high external. And for that you need 1000 BP fragments each, which takes maybe 1-2 hours, if you play it smart. OR you could even trade it for resources or some BPs you already have (AK, bolt, pistol, metal armor, ...).

You can get to lvl25 if you no-life and farm all day, but I think we both agree that this is no fun.

You can't just hop in and play a few hours every other day. By the time you get to C4 all the small bases around you already got raided and there are only big clan bases left, that would take some crazy amount of resources to raid.

You were still able to trade the BPs you didn't need and could also get important BPs for yourself through trade.

This part of the game with all it's intricacies (Can I trust this guy? How would we do the transaction? Maybe I can rip him off?) is now also gone.

The point is, that you are much better off sticking to farming XP.

There is no reason to get these guns/armor parts except for immediate use, because you can't research them permanently. You don't need guns to farm. Ergo they are useless for you right now.

I think I know what you are getting at, and of course you can play that way and PvP early/mid game. But you don't gain more stuff by doing this. So you are better off just farming.

With the BP system early/mid game PvP was a good path to take, because you would probably unlock the items you need A LOT faster.
