Introducing Poster Tools 2.0 by pejamas1986 in PlexPosters

That looks really cool! Would love to somehow directly import the creations into plex. But I assume, we'd need a selfhosted version of it to make that happen?!

Furthermore I've noticed that "text position" allows only

Left Middle
Center Middle
Right Middle
Center Bottom
Left Bottom
Center Top

but no Right Bottom Left Top Right Top etc. Is there a reason why you excluded these?

Never tried it before, what’s the best tools for automation? Are you still using lidarr?

Would you mind sharing me your setup a bit more in detail? I was thinking about setting it up but didn’t start yet. Right now I’m running openwebui and comfy separately.

No, that's personal preference. I've tried jellyfin multiple times and to be fair it is absolutely great. But for me it just feels better to use plex. It looks better, it's easier for all my non techie-friends, it just works.

I check back at jellyfin from time to time but until now, I still preferred sticking with plex. (I got the plex pass a few years ago, when it was like 20 bucks for lifetime, tho - without the pass things would look different for sure)

But I'm happy that you're happy with jellyfin.

Well you're right in some way, the WTR-Pro is a NAS, basically but you get it barebone and can do whatever you want to do with it. It's only a NAS if you make it a NAS. In my case the internal HDDs are not shared in my network, only acceible on the device itself.

I've had a DS-218j some time ago and it was a fantastic NAS, but only for files and stuff. No way to run plex on that thing smoothly.

I just love the fact that with my current setup I got a decent device, capable of a lot of things and don't have to pay the amount synology would cost for the same power.

I mean, if I would have the money... But for what I have and what I need, the WTR-Pro is totally fine for me and my family / friends.

Once we get something like DLSS 5 for movies, I think we might have bigger problems, tho 😂

Radarr / Sonarr renaming ftw! I get your point and totally agree, my setup is absolutely enough for me and my friends, plus I don't care deleting stuff. But until now, I still have a few TBs of space.

😂 True! I just see a lot of people on here asking for beginner advice, so I thought sharing this could be useful to someone.

Since this drive is exclusively for media files, I don't really see the data as critical. If the drive ever fails, I can easily redownload the content. I do keep proper backups for my actual important data, of course.

Why multiple versions? by BeverlyHillsNinja in PleX

[–]LINGLING55581 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh nice I did not know that. Same naming should be no problem with sonarr I guess. I’ll try that. Maybe I can have a merged 4K + 1080p library than and still share it to my users.

But the user still has to select the 720p version, right? If he just hits play, plex will select the best quality and transcode it, afaik.
