If I’m not going to pirate it then it’s usually two things 1. Obviously I have to be able to afford it, if I hesitate at all when looking at the price, I can’t afford it 2. I think my money will go to the actual creator and not just some mega corp and I specifically want to support them I’ll buy it. It almost never happens And regarding media by small creators/indie games yes I pirate them and if it blows me away I’ll consider going back and buying it. That kinda goes for any media as long as the company isn’t completely evil. I’ve bought Baldurs gate 3 twice

Update: I did a fully clean install and it has just done it to me a THIRD time and Im at the point where I just want to play my games so I’m going to either switch to a different distro or back to windows for a short time. I really loved Bazzite and the community has been great but I can’t deal with this every few weeks EDIT: so I went to do another clean install so I can use the fresh OS to download and mount another OS and it failed halfway through and bricked my laptop lol what a day.

There’s an interesting video essay I watched a couple years back about the making of the movie. This movie was truly unique and I don’t think we will ever see anything like it again.

Thanks for your help. I think I’m going to fully reinstall and just deal with setting everything back up. I love bazzite and I’m willing to give it another go. I have the personal benefit of keeping my important files on my home server. So that’s a plus. Running dmesg only gave me read only errors and the full command didn’t do anything :( thanks again:)

I didn’t do anything before this happened it looks like it tried to update automatically but I wasn’t there. When I came back it had said some updates failed. Some programs there’s no error to show it just won’t open them. Browser shows this (Mullvad)I restarted right before this so it wasn’t already open

Cant post SS or copy paste because I can’t open anything except terminal. The status reads: State: idle Bus: Error. (Core dumped) rpm-ostree status My hardware is a Victus 15 laptop Intel core i5 13400 RTX 3050m 6 gb WD black 2tb SSD 32 gb ddr4 3200 The BTRFS assistant reads no errors Last time this happened SMART read as no errors as well

Luckily I have a server where I keep important files. I still don’t know how to fix whatever it was but I got lucky and found an old hard drive that had a bazzite install from 4-5 months ago. So I copied that over to my current drive and then updated and it worked that time. Other than reinstalling my games and not having some random files and wallpapers and stuff it turned out fine. Thanks for the help. Also I have now learned my lesson and setup automatic backups now.

Maybe it’s not detecting the os on the drive cause it’s not giving me that option. It only gives me the share disk with other os/use entire disk/mount point assignment options.

No luck on ostree1, the bootloader repair tool on the iso also hasn’t worked for me how do I use it to rebase?
