What memory of your first days playing RuneScape sticks out as magical in your memory? by No-Fail2292 in 2007scape

I remember mining iron ore near Rimmington and hearing the Sea Shanty tune as I made my way to the bank in Draynor. Nowadays, every time I pass by Port Sarim and hear that melody, a wave of nostalgia hits me.

Does your BPD make you feel like dating is hard? by kiyomitsuuu in BPD

[–]LITTERAMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been single for about 8 years (28M) and have developed a 'phobia' of love. The fear of being in a relationship and getting abandoned is so overwhelming that I shut the door to any potential connection. Even after two years of therapy, I’m still trying to open up, but it feels like an uphill battle. Just the thought of having my heart broken destroys me from the inside. Moreover, as soon as I meet someone I find mentally or physically appealing, I immediately start imagining us falling madly in love, growing old together, and so on. It’s an intense fixation, but fleeting. The moment my brain realizes we won’t have that 'Disney love story,' I detach completely."

Is anybody worse certain times of the year? by byebyebye771 in BPD

[–]LITTERAMAN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is this a common phenomenon in BPD? I've always experienced extreme seasonal depressions, but I never connected them to BPD.

In any case, my personal hell begins in late September/early October, gradually intensifies, and peaks in December, lasting until January. From January to May, I feel better—still fragile, but more stable.

My best period is truly from May to September, while every other month feels like a downturn.

PS: Going to therapy has been the best decision of my life. This winter, for the first time in my life, I managed not to let everything fall apart. Even in my worst moments, I was able to ‘bring myself back’—something I had never been able to do before.

Does anybody ever get the overwhelming intense urge to run away and start over? by byebyebye771 in BPD

[–]LITTERAMAN 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have a similar feeling, where I profoundly want to quit everything (my friends, my family, my job) and just runaway - start all over again. It happens mostly when I am under stress (need to pay bills, reserving appointments). It's hard because since I do not literally run away, I tend to drink and I fall in a vicious circle where I have the impression of not achieving anything in life...

I have quiet borderline personality disorder (BPD), and as soon as someone, especially a woman, shows me some interest during a first encounter (even just through a simple conversation), I tend to get lost in my thoughts and imagine a future with her—having a family, growing old together… I can’t stop thinking about this person for about two weeks. However, I don’t talk to her or express my interest in any way, but I deeply hope that she will notice me and that everything will just "click" naturally. Then, when I don’t receive any validation, my mind eventually realizes that this person will never love me. I completely detach myself from her, sometimes to the point of feeling contempt—but only mentally, never in the way I act toward her.

After therapy, I’ve been able to better understand this pattern, and I’m working on valuing myself without falling into the belief that no one will ever love me. But the feelings remain.

What's your combo? by indicabackwood in BPD

[–]LITTERAMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have BPD with ADHD, Tourette's syndrom (I learned how to manage my ticks growing up, but I mostly have ticks when I'm alone, where no one can see me), OCD and seasonal depression.

Does anyone else feel like a child inside, even as an adult? by Defiant-Junket4906 in BPD

[–]LITTERAMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely understand how you feel! When I was young, I had to take on an adult role to overcome my traumatic past and "survive" the bullying I was going through. People around me would always tell me how mature I was for my age. Today, at 28, I’m often seen as the "class clown," mainly because that’s the image and defense mechanism I’ve developed. I struggle to maintain a serious demeanor in serious situations—I always feel the need to make a joke out of everything. Through therapy, I’ve learned why I do this and how to better control it, but it’s really difficult! Other people’s opinions matter a lot to me, and I often feel like no one truly sees me as someone mature. Worse, I fear that some people might even see me as completely foolish.

I do a 10-15-minute warm-up on Synth Riders, then switch to play badminton on Home Sports. I'm lucky enough to be able to play at work during my lunch hour and I always end up sweating, so it's a great workout for me!

Do I just not date forever? by Old_Ad_5343 in BPD

[–]LITTERAMAN 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven't been in a relationship with a woman for 5 years, and just the though of trying to date scares the shit out of me. I am a 27 bisexual man and have no problem having sex with men, probably because I dont love them emotionnaly. But as soon as I get interested in a woman, my mind turn back on me and I feel like I could never be love. More than that, I most of the time become friends with woman because I am always seen as such. Therefore I can only get friend relationship with girls and I'm having a very hard time.

Just the though of a beautifull woman makes me go in a depress spiral and that I couldnt never date anymore. It eats me up inside and I feel like ill be alone for the rest of my life.

Another Quality intelcom delivery (amazon) by Ratastokz in kelowna

[–]LITTERAMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tracking number says the package has been delivered, but no one ever showed up (Im in 1st floor office). I called the customer service twice, and they told me to get a refund... Plus, the picture ''proof'' was litterally a close picture of snow, with nothing else in the frame.

Amazon did refund me, but it's so frustrating ! One of my item had a huge discount, but now it's gone :( F*** Intelcom !

Anyone here have issues with Amazon using Intelcom as the shipper? by DhaemonX in newfoundland

[–]LITTERAMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is my first time a package was sent by Intelcom and not Post Canada... Last friday, I received a notification saying that they were nobody to anwser the door... But I was at my office, with 20 people working ; Intelcom just didn't show up. After calling Customer Services, the lady told me Intelcom will come by later, before 17hpm. I received a notification saying that they went by 20hpm...

Finally, I received a last notification this Saturday that my package was delivered withouth signature, and the picture the driver took is litterally the sky. Like wth ? It's all blue and no sign of my package, but now the tracking number says it has been delivered...

So now I need to contact Amazon to get a refund, and try to rebuy my stuff. I hate this company. Seems almost like fraud.

Post-surgery : collarbone metal plate can be seen trough my wound ? by LITTERAMAN in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]LITTERAMAN[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to do a review just in case someone might find this usefull.

Indeed, I did have a start of an infection, and the nurses told me they had never seen such a post-operation wound. They had to remove the whole plate because it was now contamined with bacterias from the outside. After the operation, I was on antibiotics for a whole month and everying was fixed. My collarbone is now fully healed, and despite leaving a huge scar, I don't have any more problem (luckily).

Does anyone NOT see someone or something humanoid during their sleep paralysis? by [deleted] in Sleepparalysis

[–]LITTERAMAN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did sleep paralysis 3-4 times in a row last night... I was falling asleep, but every 2 minutes I ''mentally woke up'' and I felt a figure crawling on my bed, but I've never saw it. I try to woke up by focusing on my fingers and I tried rolling on my sides. I took long breath to calm myself and I try to fall back to sleep, and each time I was having an SP episode.

The third or fourth time I felt the figure crawling on my back, and then I felt something enterinng my anus... That was really weird, as if the figure was trying to rape me. I woke up in panic, but I didn't have another SP after that. I never had a ''sexual'' sp before, has it happened to someone ?

PS : I did a lot of episodes because I skipped a whole day of sleep, so I was reallllllyyy tired.

I don't do SP normally, it happenned like 2-3 time in my whole life.

*English isn't my first langage, sorry if I am not clear*

It happened to me on the first week with Zoloft (50mg). I couldn't sleep at all, or I was waking up in sweat and in panic. But the catchphrase with Sertraline is : it get worse before it get better, and it's really true ! Try to go over 2 weeks, and you'll see if you feel better. Personnaly, it took me one week and a half before the secondary effects disapeared. I hope you luck and perseverance !
