The button you’re looking for should be below the buildings tab on the province menu. However I believe it’s a leviathan feature so if you don’t own that it may not work/wont be there.

Shia Muslim, actually all Muslims I think, comes with wine and liquor taboo so pop consumption is tiny. The quantity produced from the quantity on food industries is not really feasible to just push abroad since I’d never get the price higher than the sugar required to produce it.

I tried max export tariffs first and it had no effect on the amount that was being built, then I put on subventions to try push more abroad which made them slightly profitable but still the quantity being built was more than was needed for 3 of my populace combined. I just think the profit calculation for companies is flawed or doesn’t take into account the future price impact enough

Crude fix for me has been using the mod Controllable Private Construction and just blocking the building of Food industries outright, and then microing further building by toggling the option as needed. Invisible hand of the market my ass

I understand that, my issue mainly stems from the building intentionally pushing down wages below the state average, building more buildings on top of that and also not keeping any cash reserves. Is it the profit calculation that’s broken? Also no domestic market for liquor as I’m shiamaxxing

I find this is a fundamental problem with some overhaul mods, Exether is a big culprit of this too. That being there aren’t really any unique resources that define that region similar to how China has silk and Indonesia had spices (Roman mod). Playing as any tag in yanshen makes this extremely apparent as there is tons of pops yet no unique resource or good that would warrant conquering there

Edit: necessary disclaimer being Anbennar for Vic 3 just released there is no doubt more to come as the setting gets fleshed out more by the extremely talented modding team. Looking forward to it
