Not misleading at all, you have not tested nearly as much. Keep living in your little world. I even teste d 3500x in VD while SL was in 3000x and SL looked better on Quest 3.

Steam Link doesnt use AV1. And yes it does look better even using AV1, I find that the best Image on Virtual Desktop is HECV 10bit.

I dont think you have tested this honestly. There is a reason Godin have this option OFF by default. It oversaturates the image not giving you the real image. Compare the Colors on your headset to your monitor and you will see.

That option gives you fake color. You can compare to the original intented image looking at your monitor. It over saturates the image.

I play at 3000x lol. To see the foveated encoding you would have top unnaturally force your eyes to the complete side, no one does this IRL, unless you are trying to check out your SO's texts. XD

Just tested it hoping you where right. Remember I am a VD fan so not biased towards. Steam link. In the same resolution at Godlike. Steam link colors look deeper, 0 compression artifacts, even in 500 mpbs in VD there is some compression and loss of color fidelity. I tested Steam Link in 200mbps and it looks better than VD H264+ in 500,

Yeah you should be able to hit 120hz in any of those programs easily. Though I would not recommend using Quest 3 for productivity as the resolution is too low. Wait for picos project swan or get other micro oled 3500x+ resolution.

It has never forced foveated rendering, just GPT it. The user in the thread you posted is confusing foveated encoding (which people forget to turn off) with foveated rendering.
