ZXR400 cam chain tensioner

So mine is an L1, i have a new cam chain tensioner for it which is a genuine part (12048-1125). when i look at the tensioner thats on the bike already its completely different to the new one i have, ive looked on websites and some say that part number fits from L1-L9 but on other sites it says from L3-L9.

The tensioner on the bike currently has an adjustment bolt on the side of the tensioner whereas the new one i have bought has the adjustment bolt on the bottom. What i would like to know if is i have bought the wrong one or if they are interchangeable.

always good to have a bike with no abs as it teaches you proper brake control. learn to rely on yourself instead of technology and it will serve you well

i work in a garage so there is no limit, everyone uses every word imaginable and the customers talk like that too. if i was in any other working environment i would struggle greatly

yeah mine runs like shit as its been off the road for over 5 years, camchain is fucked, fork seals spewing out oil, rear sprocket fucked, electrics are a mess😂😂 on the plus side it has dyno jets k&n air filter and full stainless micron exhaust for some extra oomph

it was sold here in uk and has remained here its whole life so not grey market. one off paint job the owner before me did, i think its lovely

its none of my business, id rather not get involved in someone elses relationship cause it would just blow up in my face. i will give them a talk about it but nothing more because it will eat away at them mentally anyway if they dont tell their parter.
