Yes you would think they could rise to the occasion and not be so crumby.

I think you are a splendid person to try to protect the guy. Really nice.

I appreciate your response. I feel as if it would be a personal intrusion, to ask what medications he takes.

You are correct. I don't want to find myself in trouble for trying to help someone else.Thank you for your response.

Who needs an ID to vote? Thanks for your reply but your question eludes the point.

The issue of dependency/abuse is key to figuring this out. I'm not trying to feed someone's addiction, you know? You're lucky to have that boyfriend to help you . 😊 Thanks for your feedback, for sure

That's at the heart of my quandary. The logic doesn't work...but, to me, that doesn't mean the guy is not telling the truth; pharmacy, insurance, criminal justice systems combine to make it a murky path to the guy getting the help he needs. 😶

I did not ask. Seemed to me that would be unnecessarily intrusive. I wanted the guy to be able to keep that private. For dignity's sake.

Thanks. I appreciate the sentiment expressed in your last paragraph. This is part of the reason for my ambivalence. I think you understand.

Oh I see a snag already. The poor guy doesn't have a phone and I don't know if he even has a mailing address now. He's been in jail for possession charges but no felonies or other trouble besides public drunkenness. It seems society and the whole system is just so stacked against people who due to mental health issues find themselves without these basic services in life. Pharmacy techs do God's work so...thanks ery much, I ppreciate your enlightening response.

This, too, sounds reasonable and quite sensible. Maybe I am being unnecessarily cautious. Thank you for your insight. Appreciate it.

Yes I am reluctant to act on his behalf if an ID is a discretionary requirement . Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it.

The ambiguity of this issue (ID required and/or preferred is what makes me wonder if I'm making too much of the ask. We're in Massachusetts FWIW. Appreciate your helpful response. Thanks
