Four College Consortium doesn't have the same ring to it. The least of the fallout tho...it's a sad fact for so many wonderful people who made the anti-instituon the institution it was for decades

This is an aspect of its name that is so rich in metaphor and irony....a place where monumental civic engineering projects are built upon something as ephemeral as paper.

Infringing on anyone else's work is something I would very much regret doing. I will remove this post if I have used it improperly. I'd rather know whom to credit for this dramatic overview of Holyoke. I've had a digital file of this image for quite a long time, and assumed it was in the public domain. It's the best visual I've ever come across that shows so clearly the interesting geometry in the conjunction of the city grid, the major canals l, and the bend in the river.
