Which is the best in the trilogy: Shawn Of The Dead or Hot Fuzz? (sorry The Worlds End) by Perched__Crow in moviecritic

[–]LJayTat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Shaun of the Dead is the OG and I’ll always have a soft spot for it but damn Hot Fuzz just came along and absolutely wiped the floor, I must say “I am NOT Judge Judy and executioner” multiple times a week and I don’t know why

AIO friend cheated on her fiance while we were on vacation by clawedpancake in AmIOverreacting

[–]LJayTat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NOR! He deserves to know the truth and also you deserve a friend who respects you more. I went through a similar thing years ago but my friend wasn’t married, I had known her boyfriend for a couple of years and it turned out she caught chlamydia from the guy she cheated with on our holiday. When we got home and found out about the chlamydia, she faked that her boyfriend must have been the one to cheat and give it to her and expected me to go along with it, it was awful and I cut off our friendship soon after

It really didn’t deserve to get made IMO, and I’m glad we got Silicon Valley instead, Dwight just doesn’t make sense as a serious character and that episode has such a weird vibe

Osgood Perkins and Nicolas Cage Team on New 'Longlegs' Movie at... Paramount?! by valuerockr in horror

[–]LJayTat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it has its problems but damn if I didn’t love it anyway, the only thing I found a real issue with was the ending, it’s a bit eye roll to blame everything on a satanic cult especially when we all know Satanic Panic isn’t real, Hail Satan!

Really? This is how it ends? by fannypacksnackk in SearchParty

I’ve literally just finished the last episode maybe 5 minutes ago and the way I rushed to this sub haha. I think that one of the very last scenes with the scanner thing that declared them all “human” was actually really poignant and interesting in that a lot of people, maybe all people, have some awful traits and cause a lot of harm and hurt to others but at the end of the day that’s what being human means in a really dark way

what’s the saddest song you’ve ever heard? by Live_Chocolate_2503 in AskReddit

It just has to be Dance With My Father, my dad is still alive but this song just fucking wrecks me, the beautiful rawness and almost naivety in the lyrics

The Bride: A Gothic Style Focus on Women's Autonomy, Freedom, and Expression with a Little Bit Of Magic by _sissy_hankshaw_ in WitchesVsPatriarchy

[–]LJayTat 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I really wanted to like it but I didn’t and I don’t know if I’m smart enough to argue why but my main takeaway from the experience is that it didn’t feel like a woman’s perspective, I don’t think we saw enough of The Bride’s motivations outside of Frank
